Rides at Universal

Ok I'll give you that. We have no issues with dark rides though. But it's still a simulator/Motion Based/Motion Platform/Bumpy Bumpy or whatever you want to call it, ride.

The fact that you two are arguing over what is a simulator and what is not a simulator should illustrate to you how difficult your question to the CM is.

As someone who works at probably the most difficult ride on Universal property to describe to guests, I'm going to have to speak up about your generalization of the allegedly unhelpful attitude of Universal employees...If a guest were to come up to me and ask 'Is this a simulator?', I would effortlessly and unabashedly tell them yes; it's the easiest way to describe this ride.

See how easy that was? Thank you for a direct response and please pass it along that sometimes that's all guests are asking for. Even though you don't call it a simulator you knew exactly what I was talking about. Thank you!

It's true that similar types of situations with employees also happen at other non Universal parks as well.

But no. As answered from an attractions host from Universal, the question wasn't difficult to understand. Someone was just having a crappy day at work and didn't feel like interacting I guess.

Personally rides like Star Tours, Minions and Simpsons aka traditional simulators make me motion sick. Rides with motion simulator vehicles do not bother me very much. So rides like Dinosaur, Indy, Gringott's etc. I'm good to go. To me it is important to know the difference before riding. Normally if I ask "Hey do the cars move down a track or do you sit in one spot and move in front of one screen the whole time?" They will answer one or the other. Asking is this a simulator you may be getting into semantics that the general public does not under stand.

It seems like there is no good comparison to a ride at Disney World so I'll probably just have to try and see! I am fine on rides that move along a track (assuming there are no drops involved) and on motion simulator rides where the seat is moving while facing a 3D screen, so I think I will probably be able to handle Spider-Man and Transformers. Keep in mind that this is the girl who is deathly afraid of the drop on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Maybe I'll give that a go as well! I guess there's a first time for everything!
