Rides at Night

I'm sure someone has asked this before, but I'll ask it anyway.

What attractions are must do's at night. And do you have to do them during the day and at night?

My family loves to do BTMRR at night. One time, during Wishes, we rode it like six or seven times in a row.

We tried to do Primeval Whirl, but the lights are so bright there really isn't it a difference.

And I've always wanted to do Test Track.

ToT is awesome at night. You can see the whole park all lit up.

Splash Mountain is great at night, too. The park looks beautiful and you can see good views from the top.

Doesn't change the ride, but I like going on HM at night. Makes it feel scarier.

Dumbo and Aladdin are great at night too.

Yeah, been on TT at night. Looks cool when you come out onto the fast part and see some Epcot lights.

I hate the que for Astro Orbiter but it is breathtaking at night! I just wish the ride was longer. We did it on and MNSSHP at night so the line wasn't too bad. I will try to do it again in the evening.

I completely agree.

And I do like the TTA at night. It let's you see the park in a different way. But, then again, the TTA is good to ride anytime.

I'd say most any outdoor ride is better at night, especially at MK when you have a view of the castle.

Some of my favorites at MK are BTMR, Astro Orbiter (only at night), Splash Mountain, TTA.

Epcot: Test Track, the Maelstrom (cool for those 10 seconds where you can see outside from that cave).

DHS: Tower of Terror

AK: Everest of course

I like all the parks really at night. It seems they come ot life more in ways. My fav. at night would be MK specifically Tomorrowland. Then MGM, Epcot, then AK. I love ToT at night, it just seems so real when its hardly any que and you literally walk right into the lobby. I like Splash at night, all of Tomorrowland, Everest is cool, but prefer it during the day. Def. TT, BTMR, Astro Orbiter is nice, when the line is short, but I havent done it during the day so I may have to give it a try.

Expedition Everest is awesome at night (offers a bit more of the sense of the unknown) Also I like Tower of Terror and Haunted Mansion at night (not necessarily because the ride is more intense, but the queue ambience makes for an enhanced experience)

I have a couple...

First, I have to agree that Big Thunder is better at night...don't know why, it just is (to me, that is...).

Second, Jungle Cruise! Maybe it's just luck, but we seem to get really good skippers, or just maybe we're more tired and laugh more, but it's really funny at night.

One last...the monorail. In front...between the TTC and EPCOT. The entire trip pretty dark, then the lights when you get into EPCOT. Pretty cool!

Definitely Tower of Terror. I would love to go on Everest at night too, but anytime we've gone its been so packed we just kind of got on when we could. Maybe next time though.

BTMRR is like 10x more wild at night! :sohappy:

If you're staying at Disney for a fair amount of days I would HIGHLY suggest you do astro-orbitor during Wishes (but make sure and watch it in front of the castle too ).

For me, DHS is just not a pretty park; during the day, at least. But when you get the ToT view it's jaw-dropping.

And then I think Jungle Cruise is a ton better at night - we actually always do it at night. I've always had better skippers and the cave is a lot creepier. One time we had the BEST skipper. She was extremely sarcastic and her jokes were very current. The best part, though, was that she sang "It's a Small World" in the cave and for anyone who's read "Kingdom Keepers" it makes Jungle Cruise a little bit creepy!

I would say I enjoy TTA,BTMRR,and HM at MK as TTA is cool at night as you see all the colors of Tommorowland and the Castle at night.BTMRR because it adds to the thrill factor.HM because the lightning and sounds at night are "creepier".At Epcot I love Test Track at night and just the whole feel of that park at night. If it were dark all day at Epcot I would love it as I just enjoy the view at night.

I really prefer to do Jungle Cruise at dusk or night. I also would rather do Peter Pan at night, although being an indoor ride, it makes no difference to the look of the ride. I think it's mostly because I remember doing that one on our honeymoon at nighttime, so I have a silly sentimental thing for wanting to do it at night now. I'd rather do Astro Orbiter and Cinderella's Carosell at night for due to the pretty nighttime scenery from those rides.
