Last year we got stuck on the people mover and had to be evacuated. The ride started out ok but kept stopping and restarting, At one point we bumped into the car that was ahead of us which was not pleasant. We finally got stuck inside one of the tunnels and waited for someone to come for us. We walked through the tunnel and down some stairs and got one paper FP when we exited. It was my kids first trip to the Magic Kingdom and they still talk about when we "got stuck on the people mover"!

I've only been evac'ed once as a passenger - from Space Mountain. It was cool to see the track all lit up as we walked out.
I had a couple of good ones as a CM at Splash though. One time a couple of Country Bears decided to ride for some reason and it of course broke down shortly before they got back to station. Getting them up and out of the log was quite a chore.
Another time, during an evac, a family was being escorted out through the showboat scene at the end. Their daughter was wearing those Heely shoes and she'd been asked more than once to walk on the pathway instead of rolling (skating?). She didn't listen and the pathway takes a hard left in that area. She missed the turn and rolled right into the flume. And that water is NASTY.
My favorite was standing at the top of the big drop and watching Wishes because Splash happened to break down during the fireworks and I had to wait for another CM to start getting the guests out of the logs.

In 2014 I got evac'd from TT. We were moving into the drop shaft but something felt off. There was no audible click of the car locking into the shaft. So when the spiel was finishing up, "in the Tower of Terror", nothing happened. People around me were freaking out but since there were no sound queues (slamming/crashing noises), I could tell it crapped out on us. After sitting in the dark for 5 minutes we hear a voice behind us saying "Everyone okay in there? I'm going to pull you back now". Got out, loaded into a elevator, went back down, and rode it for real. Only one person said no to the free ride.

My only experience was actually a little scary. My wife & I were on Splash Mountain we stopped suddenly at the very base of the big drop inside the tunnel under the thorns. Everyone on the boat got really scared because we thought another boat was going to come down and barrel into us. Luckily, Disney knows safety and that didn't happen but it was scary for a few seconds ha. Here is a short video I made after it happened.
A cast member came and escorted us off and we got to walk through the entire end of the attraction. It was really slippery and we had to carefully watch our step. We did get some free fastpasses after that.

Interesting! I didn't think the ride could stop the logs at that point.

There's actually a brake built into that section. We were told that the sudden stop it achieves (I forget the exact distance it needs to bring you to a complete stop) is the main reason for the ride's height requirement. If there's an E-stop triggered either by the computer or a CM while a log is on the drop, the brake will activate. It was possible to restart the ride with guests still on it except when there was a log caught in the brake because then maintenance had to do something special. In that case, it was a definite evac. The E-stop would also stop any lifts or belts on the ride, so there was really no danger of another log coming down.
I'm of course speaking of 2006 Splash Mountain, and things definitely could've changed since then.

Expedition Everest just as we were about to re-enter the mountain. the back 3 cars were still hanging out of the mountain and people had to walk on the grate to the side of the train to get into the mountain. Im not great with heights so probably would have been stuck there from fear.
Great trip down inside the mountain though. Seeing all of the inner workings was awesome though. Ended up right in the middle with the support structures all above and around us.

I've been walked off of two rides. The first one was in Disneyland on Alice. The ride stopped while I was in the "whooo are youuuu" section. After sitting still for about 5 minutes, a CM came up and walked us back through a door by Tweedle Dum & Dee, through a work area, and outside.
The other time was on Ellen, very similar to a previous poster. As the vehicles were entering the final scene, with Jeopardy answers on the screens on the right, as the turntable was supposed to rotate, it didn't. Video appeared briefly on the little screen to the left, but a drape over it didn't go up. And then everything went dark. After about 10 minutes the doors were manually opened, and CMs carrying flashlights escorted us off the ride.

I can honestly say in 20 trips to Disney our family has never been on an evacuated ride. However, we did get stuck on Men in Black at Universal Studios last year right in the middle of the downtown shooting section. I must say that was very, very cool. Of course we maxed out our score at 999,999, but I got some great pics when they put the lights on. Had to be careful because they were very particular about not taking any pictures. They walked us out right through the monster's mouth down to where we got the last suits we'd ever wear.
Monsters Inc in Disneyland and Winnie the Pooh in Disneyland. Was just weird to have to get out of vehicle and walk off ride with all of the lights on. Kind of took away the "mystique", never went back and rode once they were fixed. Also, quite peeved that waited in Monsters line for almost an hour and then ride broke. Went to guest services and made them give me a FastPass to another ride, went to use it on the Radiator Springs ride and it was down for the evening. Disappointed!

Test Track - it was tricky having to exit the car in such a high steep grade.
Haunted Mansion - Right in the middle of the graveyard scene.
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
In all the circumstances there were cast members there to help us out of the vehicle and walk us through the exit.

We got stopped on Spaceship Earth once, back in 2012, on the descent, so nothing to even look at... and then after about 20 minutes, the lights come on. They had to evac the ride because some idiots got out while they had it stopped... They had stopped it because someone had thrown up in a vehicle and were literally about to restart when some random people come walking out of the ride track. I'm not sure how those people made their way out in the dark, it was tricky enough with the lights on.
The worst part was because we were at the end we were the last people they got out, so we keep seeing all these people walking by us.... we were probably stuck for 45 minutes, after having already gone through most of the ride... We got an apology from the CMs (which was more than fine, not their fault people are stupid) but because it was after hours by the time we got out, they couldn't give us Fastpasses or anything. I'm sure we could have gone to guest relations but we really just wanted to get back to the hotel at that point. Lol.

Splash Mountain - it was late in the evening and we got stuck two boats back from the top of rise just before the drop. We were kept sitting in the boats for about 40 minutes while they made multiple attempts to reset the ride. When that didn't work, the cast members methodically emptied every boat and walked us down, first inside the ride until we reached the fire exit where we got to the stairs and came out through back stage.
I was actually evacuated from Ellen's Energy Adventure on two different trips. The first time was the best - we were right in the middle of the dinosaur scene and got to walk through the other scenes to get out. So cool. The second time it was towards the end where Ellen is back playing Jeopardy again. Not really fun at all - just doors opening and us leaving the theater.

I was on 7DMT when it was brand new. At the very top of the hill just past the mining ⛏ room, the train stopped. I was in the front row of the second car, which made the angle pretty steep. The seat had nothing for head support and it was about 15 minutes before anyone came to get us. The elevator to get the cast members up to us was also broken so they were pretty winded from hurrying up the track. I’m not a small girl, heck, I’m not even a medium girl. It was a real chore to get out of my seat and into a standing position. Once I was standing, I had to get to the walkway. There is a pretty hefty gap between the track and the walkway and I was a little hesitant. I have short legs, in my 60s and wobble pretty easily. I reached out for someone to grab my hand, took a deep breathe and took that leap of faith. Picture going down the stairs.

Test Track, couple years ago. Ladders were involved and lights were on, looks pretty seedy with lights on, but it was cool experience. Also Winnie the Pooh. A woman in the same car as us freaked out and we were waiting to be evacuated in an orderly fashion, car by car, and she grabbed her 2-year-old and climbed out.

This may not qualify, but some people decided to exit CoP midway through one of the scenes. A self-evac maybe? The attraction stopped and the CM announced the scene had to start completely over because of those people. So after it restarted a few more tried to escape and everyone shouted at them to get back in their seats. Luckily they did or there might have been a riot. Or a full evac.

My story is more of a ride evac attempt than an actual evacuation. We got through 80% of the ride when it stopped. We sat there for 45min with them never shutting down the "its a small world after all" music loop. They proceeded to push the boats back around the ride to let people off. We were the next boat to exit and as they started to pull us to the off load. BAM, they let us go and say ok rides fixed and we have to go though the whole ride again. Needless to say I didn't ride again for the next 6 or 7 yrs.
