My guess is more parking. The MK parking lot has a habit of reaching capacity during peak season so that's just my guess.

I hope this means they are putting the parking spaces that they ripped out when they installed the race track back in.

They didn't remove any spaces.

I'm still trying to find it but I remember clearly seeing a few photos of a parking lot on that land prior to the raceway being installed. Anyway even if i'm wrong about that I still don't think it would be a bad idea to add another 2,000 parking spots.

Really, yes.

Prior to this the MK still felt rather isolated as you approached the parking lots. Not to mention nothing said magic more than the roar of cars as heard from the TTC. It didn't really blend too well with the welcome BGM.

I've heard the cars from the castle stage and Epcot parking. It's horrible

So they took about 2 rows in the back middle lots to reposition the road for space for the speedway. That would be roughly 400 cars worth of parking, so not a ton, but not insignificant, either. Maybe that would cover the cars they typically park around the "island" in the middle plus a few more on the busiest days.

It means there won't be a 4 way intersection, the intersection points will be at different heights to allow continuous, uninterrupted traffic flow.

I.E. a flyover would be used for southbound World Dr. transitioning to eastbound Vista Blvd. eliminating the intersection there.

I'm not defending the noise factor, as I'm a curmudgeon when it comes to noise nuisances. But if that were at all a factor in the removal of this, which I doubt it was, then the real noise maker that I myself have heard from the Castle Stage, as I've never heard the Petty attraction from there, is the horrid noise of the Tomorrowland speedway. If you want to talk back show, tell me how listening to those engines while riding the teacups makes any sense. Yet they've been neighbors for how long?
