Trip Report Revisiting 2016's War and peace I took one for the team

Hello it's me again and if you want to know what the title means you'll have to stick around for a while. Sorry but no spoiler This trip was 3 years in the making and the official countdown started at 439 days. Surprisingly the time seemed to fly by. Our little adventure was taken by me (for those who don't know I'm Figmentfan423 Figgy to my friends here), my dh and our 2 boys James 14 and fellow Disney planner and M who's a bit older autistic and doesn't like getting his picture taken or me talking about him. Our trip began at

am on July 30th. We sang happy birthday to my little guy while driving down the street on our way to Disney. I'm a very mean mommy who made my baby spend his birthday in the car. Any way it was smooth sailing until half way through Virginia where we hit rain and traffic all the way to the North Carolina border. It was bad enough we worried a bit about making it to our hotel for the first night but once we hit NC the skies cleared and so did the traffic:joyfull: and we made it to Florida

to take the obligitory first Florida picture of the boys. With a bit of luck and excitement we made it to Ormond Beach to get a good night's sleep.

We met back up in the Land and went over to see Figment before heading to World Showcase for the rest of the day. The boys were hungry (they're always hungry:cautious:) so they went to the American Pavillion for chicken nuggets and fries and I'll spare you the details. The boys liked them they looked ok but seriously nuggets in EPCOT:hilarious: Jim and I popped into Spice Road Table for some real food I got the veggie platter and a sparkling Sangria and Jim got the mixed grill and white sangria we both liked what we got. Jim did try one of my stuffed grape leaves which I liked but he did not. View attachment 160078 View attachment 160079 View attachment 160080
All of that food looks absolutely fantastic :hungry:

It was coming down hard when we got to EPCOT so we ran straight to the Land. We got onto Soarin in less than 20 minutes. I think opening the 3rd theater has really helped with the lines. You guessed it the boys were hungry, no shock there. seeing we were at Sunshine seasons the boys got the salmon with potatoes and green beans

Seeing we were right there it seemed a good idea to ride Living with the Land. If you haven't guessed we love it.

Figgy, Pooh's puffed French Toast (folks call it stuffed, but there is nothing inside it but dough) is located in the children's food section of the buffet....perhaps you overlooked it?

My brother's family is having breakfast at CP next week and I'm gonna have him check out the Pooh toast situation for sure! :joyfull:

While we were on the bus to AK I lucked out and got a last minute ADR But first the boys wanted to ride PW and EE. After that the boys went to Restaurantsaurous and got chicken sandwiches and fries and rode EE, PW and Kali. While Jim and I went to Yak and Yeti. There was a bit of a wait so we stopped at the bar I got a Big Bamboo(not doing that again) and Jim got some type of cider I ordered the veggie lo mein and Me Sho Chiko Nigori unfiltered saki both were very good and Jim got the kobe beef burger which he liked very much. BTW the water had way too much chlorine to drink

There was time for one last ride on EE and the night Safari. So sorry none of the pics of the safari came out but we did laugh while the CM was pointing out all the sleeping animals. At least the lions were awake. We closed the park while watching the Tree of Life. From there it was a bus to the Contemporary because the boys wanted to ride the monorail to the TTC I can't believe we did the 4 park hop, did 2 ADRs and had a blast doing it. One big item off my Disney bucket list I think it was due to both a lot of luck and a bit of planning

Monday August 15th the guys all slept in until after 10. I got up worked out and went swimming before we all headed out to the outlets at the north end of I drive. I didn't get anything except a Push salt shaker. We did stop at the wine outlet by Sonic hoping to find the wine I had at Tiffins. Wishful thinking on my part but they did have very good prices on what they did have. from there we drove over by UNI to make sure we'd know what turns to make driving there. Up next dinner suggested by @epcotisbest

It seemed they were out of a few things that morning. I hope they find it. The kids table didn't seem to have much on it that morning.:(:(:(

I have got to stop catching up on your TR before lunch! lol The pictures are all making me very hungry!! I loved seeing Tiffins. We have been wondering if it is as good as Sanaa, which we just love. Did you say you are going back in October or did I just make that up?
We were thinking about it at one point but it didn't work out. Maybe not a bad thing I'm still catching up at home. It's hard to say if Tiffin's is better than Sanaa. The food is excellent at both places. Tiffin's is considered a signature so some items are more expensive. I'd go to both if I could.:joyfull:
