And I thought you were asking what they're using instead of plates!Ahh, gotcha. I thought you meant dishes as in menu items. Thanks for clarifying!!!

I too, am weary of price increases, and/or being asked to pay for something that used to be free (Fastpass), but these two examples of "cheap builds" are too much. I have no problem with them introducing Tron to WDW, as 99% of us are never going to an Asian Disney Park. I'm looking forward to riding TRON. With GOTG in EPCOT, I'd rather the IP be left out, but I acknowledge that they're having a hard time making "Future World" work, IP or no IP. They've been struggling with it for ~30 years. Let's try this and see if it works!Yet the current boss keeps creating more ways to siphon money from guests...
* I use these two rides as examples because 1: Tron has already been engineered so the cost to think it up doesn't exist. 2: GoTG is lacking in original imagination that pushes the cost of a ride. Think Pirates of the Caribbean as an example or all the rides at 1982 Epcot Center. All those rides were complete ground-up Imagineering and build-out. Plus, GoTG's ride system mostly existed. It was just a matter of taking Haunted Mansion Omni-movers and putting them on an SDMT ride.
The problem with Future World was that the technology/ride subject āsell buy dateā was much quicker than any other park. They needed to invest in the park in much shorter cycles to help the ride subject stay relevant. The sponsors and Disney where unwilling to do that. If integrating some IP along with the edutainment that was Future World, the āsell by dateā could have been extended. Disney let it all rot instead and it all became old. To that end, the park still did 10 - 12m guests per year.I too, am weary of price increases, and/or being asked to pay for something that used to be free (Fastpass), but these two examples of "cheap builds" are too much. Yeah, sort of. I agree that they let it "rot;" but then again, what would they have inserted in its place? It's no different than "Tomorrowland" really. It's hard to predict tomorrow, keep it fresh, and make a buck. I understand why they've given up, frankly. The problem with Future World was that the technology/ride subject āsell buy dateā was much quicker than any other park. More popular table service restaurants are reopening in the next month at Walt Disney World.www.wdwmagic.com
DH insists on waiting for 1900 Park Fare dinner, we all love the sisters antics. The family style menus are a personal negative with picky eater, so buffets coming back is great.Great news for the Disney Comeback Index!
Cape May Cafe and Ale Compass also going back to buffets (breakfast for Ale & Compass), although crab legs still not included at CMC. Hope they add crab legs, that's the draw for my family.
Absolutely! That's a great call, thanks for that thought.@mattpeto Would you consider adding a Penalty for the fact that the Blue Flag launch is *still* not running between Wildnerness Lodge, Contemporary and Fort Wilderness? We've loved the ability to take boat transportation between Bay Lake / SSL resorts since our first visit in 1984. Back then, the boat from FW went to the Poly as Fort Wilderness did not have it's own pool -- campers were encouraged to swim in the Poly pools. The Poly was cut from this route sometime after the Wilderness Lodge opened in the 1994. The signage and queues for the Blue Flag launch still remain so there is hope it will return. One thought some have expressed is that they may be waiting for the Hoop Dee Doo to return.
I counted it as a 10th penalty of friendship/ferry boats. With the blue flag penalty, it dipped under 79% again (78.98%), but just added Olaf Celebrity Spotlight and it's back over 79%.Absolutely! That's a great call, thanks for that thought.
I have a penalty for lack of Disney Springs buses directly from the parks after 4 pm like they were running pre-pandemic, it would likely be something equivalent.
Disney Springs boats have been running for over a month.I've heard tell the Blue Flag Service will resume in the coming months, as will the inter-Disney Springs service.
I thought the OP meant bus from parks to DS.Disney Springs boats have been running for over a month.

I think @IanDLBZF meant inter-Springs boat service. All boats are currently stopping at the Marketplace dock only.I thought the OP meant bus from parks to DS.
I'm not sure if that is coming back at all. The West End dock was totally gone last February, not just closed, it didn't exist.I think @IanDLBZF meant inter-Springs boat service. All boats are currently stopping at the Marketplace dock only.
They just did hire a boat load of watercraft hosts so that could have some merit.I think @IanDLBZF meant inter-Springs boat service. All boats are currently stopping at the Marketplace dock only.
I see what you did there! They just did hire a boat load of watercraft hosts so that could have some merit.
