I wish people would stop saying “staffing.” It’s more cumbersome but more honest to say “Disney won’t pay the salaries the free market demands.”

And the trams should have been one of the very first things that returned. It’s inexcusable.
Demand is skewed right now because about 2% of the labor force is still sitting on the sidelines, that’s about 4 million people nationally, probably half a million of those in California alone due to its size.

Disney could fill all available positions tomorrow if they offered them at higher rates but then they’d be locked into paying that rate forever, or they can keep offering them at the current rates knowing they’ll eventually fill all the positions and by being patient they’ll save tens of millions in payroll for years to come. It may be painful in the short term but it’s good business for Disney in the long term.

Disney is open and making money, people holding out for higher pay are gradually losing all their unemployment, rent, and gov benefit lifelines, Disney knows they have the advantage In the waiting game.

Absolutely. The game is skewed in Disney's favor. But that should only increase guest's dissatisfaction when they are charged insane rates, rates that these boards would have considered parodic eight years ago, for vastly diminished service.

This is all Disney's choice. My understanding is that Disney still doesn't have daily housekeeping. Uni does. That's just an example - WDW is experiencing staffing issues because they choose to, because they think guests will tolerate it while being vastly overcharged. And they are right.

Not to mention modified Meet & Greets...

I'm going to be busy adding comeback items in the Disney Comeback Index and that's a wonderful thing. Great day indeed!

I counted a total of 10 or 11 modified M&Gs returning that was announced today. We had 40 in March 2020. They will be penalized to some degree with missing hugs, autographs but this is a big step forward.

I don't remember these!!! Is the band that plays in Africa?

Next week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, guests visiting Asia can once again enjoy the music of Chakranadi, and Kora Tinga Tinga returns to the streets of Harambe in Africa.
I don't have that listed in my missing items in the DCI so I'm not sure what that is either:

These were some of the line items of entertainment I had categorized from March 2020ish:

Curtain Call Collectibles should be reopening since it's the exit-shop for the Mickey Town Square meet n greet that's returning.

One shop not on the list I was surprised hasn't reopened yet is the Frontierland Trading Post/General Store. All the windows are blacked out and it says closed on the doors. I hope Disney plans to reopen it soon.
