The only way to do it is to apply for a job at Disney again. Their processes are... stupid to say the least.

I just applied for a summer P.I but got denied due to my "unfavorable re-hire status" not sure why my status says that, any thoughts on who to ask? And the process of reversing that status??

Did your last job with Disney end on an unfavorable (for Disney) note?
  • Did you leave early?
  • Did you take lots of medical time off?
  • Did you get fired?
  • Did you do anything to make Disney look bad?
  • Did you embarrass yourself while in their employ?
Only you know the answer to these and other pertinent questions.

    • My 6 month restriction is almost up for Disney. I'm reapplying in March. I was let go from Disney due to attendance. I haven't been able to get hired anywhere else for the past 5 months. Will Disney rehire me even if I haven't had any kind of employment for those past 5 months? I am so scared that If I reapply for Disney, that they'll turn me down. I have been so depressed for months now because I lost the most amazing job that had many windows of opportunities. Will they still rehire me? I was let go Sep. 11, 2015 last year.

If you haven't been able to get a job in six months there must be a reason for that.

I'm pretty sure that Disney will know why.

Fix that problem and the world will be your oyster.

Absolutely not.
You are correct. They want to see a good work ethic. They want to see that you have been working steadily and have not been fired for not showing up to work or any other reason.

Big companies do not want excuses...heck small companies don't either.

While there is a lot of truth in what you said, no - I am looking for an actual answer.
He has some real sense to it. Basically restricted is a set term of time where you can neither work or apply for any position at the Walt Disney Company. So say you didn't show up to work get fired and have a restricted attached to it for six months. You can attempt to apply after those six months are up. How ever it is highly unlikely they would hire you again as all that information is kept in your file. A no rehire is a no brainer, it literally means the Walt Disney Company will not hire you to any position what so ever within the company. Usually this occurs if you did something really bad or stupid while working at a park, Disney store, or the rest of Disney properties and or corporate. Hope this cleared some confusion without explaining in full legal context.

I've known several people with a restricted rehire status that got rehired, it's not quite the "end" that you're making it out to be, WDW is too big to be *that* picky.

Hi everyone, hope I can get some help with this...

So i got termed in 2014 for an issue my roommate had with someone that lied about a situation and because of it I was termed with everyone. I was told i could reapply after a year and I did but I still have a restriction and since then I keep tying to apply but no go. I noticed a few of you said you were given a paper to turn in to get your status revoked, if anyone could help with how did you get that paperwork or what steps you took

thanks in advance for your help

A company the size of Disney does not really care why you got termed. They figure if you can't handle a roommate problem then you probably can't handle other people problems. While I'm sure that you had good time working at WDW and would like to return, you would probably be better off using the time spent there as a learning experience and focus your attention on more productive endeavors.

So i've got this same situation and i've had a pretty steady job for almost 6 months (at the Disney AMC) and plan to stay at least through the holiday season for the tips (I work on the Dine-In side).

Anyway, My question is, when I want to contact Disney about getting the ball rolling on changing my restricted rehire status, is there a phone number that I can call? Should I just go over to Casting? Thanks in advance!

Congrats on holding down a job for six months. And that's cool about getting tips on top of that.

While it may seem that 6 months at the same job is a milestone. In reality that is just a minimum. Anybody hiring would look at anything less than that as a temporary job, but it is certainly not a milestone in and of itself. I doubt that Disney would make any change to your status simply based upon this factor.

I'm not really trying to dash your hopes, but trying to help you set realistic expectations. Perhaps after you have held down the SAME job for a year, it might help persuade them to reconsider your status.
