I was just woundering where some of the your guys favorite places to stop and take a break during the day are. PLaces that have great scenery or are better t people watch. Any of the parks, my mom is someone that needs her breaks every now and then and I am trying to figure out places that might be a lttle nicer for her to do so. Thanks

All around Epcot's World Showcase, there are gardens with shade and benches. Each country has nooks and crannies to explore.

The Rose & Crown Pub in the UK is a great place to cool off and rest.:)

In MK...Hall of Presidents :snore:. It is always cool and well, you know, always boring? (to me at least).

MK: any of the air conditioned shows---Tiki Room, PhilaharMagic, Carousel of Progress.
The back of Exposition Hall is usually quiet, and there are great backdrops to take pictures in. The back end of Casey's Corner is also air conditioned, and there's a large screen playing old sports cartoons.

Epcot: Like someone said---exploring the little areas of the countries. I particually like grabbing fish and chips and sitting in the back area of the UK or sitting in the outside seating area of the counter service resturant in Japan---there's usually no one ever up there. Also the shows in France and Norway have seating available. (I think the shows in China and UK are circle vision, so you have to stand up)

AK: The seating area behind Flame Tree. There's tons of little paths leading to different secluded seating areas. My favorite is the one overlooking the river in front of Everest. The paths leading around the Tree of Life are nice as well. Festival of the Lion King is a nice, air conditioned way to spend a half hour too----its my favorite show in all of WDW. There's also the three other shows here as well---Flights of Wonder, Its Tough to Be a Bug and Finding Nemo.

DHS: The only one I can think of here is sitting on the second floor of Pizza Planet with a window seat and overlooking the water fountain area of Muppet Vision.

My favorite spot in all of WDW is the top of the train station in the MK.
Perfect people watching spot!
If you want something a bit more comfy, the rockers on the porch of the Exposition Hall are great too. I love watching the reactions of people coming in through the arch.

We enjoyed riding the TTA! You get to sit down and with it moving around you get a nice breeze and since it is elevated you can see the people and rides around you.

Rest? At Disney world? Whats that? :)

Mexico, thats a great place to take a quick break. Only because the ambiance of going from the hot Florida Sun to this cool, little night time Mexican Plaza.

The Bone dig, is another good place to rest. Because my daughter loves to dig in the "Disney" sand. It can be hot, but at least your sitting weaving in and out of people on the way to another ride.

Well, you've got your inside places and your outside places.

In the Magic Kingdom, there's some seclusion near the rest room in TomorrowLand near the old Skyway. There are some benches on the walkway from Tomorrowland to Mickey's ToonTown, if I remember correctly. There are some good spots in Liberty Square near the Riverboat and also at Sleepy Hollow. There are some benches around Big Thunder Mountain. The exit area at Splash has some spots. Then there is Tom Sawyer's Island. There are a few spots in Adventureland near the Jungle Cruise.

Inside, someone's already mentioned the Exhibition Hall, there are some seats in the Hall of Presidents if you get there right AFTER a show starts. Same for the Country Bear Jamboree.

At Epcot, I'm pretty sure there are some spots inside Innoventions. There are spots inside the Living Seas that come with a view. There are some spots int he post-ride part of Test Track. There are places in the square in Mexico, There's a nice shaded area outside the bakery in Norway. The gardens at China are quiet, but I don't remember if there are any benches. Again, there is seating in the pre-show area. The show area at the American Adventure I think is available if there is not a show coming up. There is seating inside the American Adventure with live enterainment (The Voices of Liberty). This is one of my favorites. There's a wonderful area in France on the canal side of the shops. There's a wonderful area near the back of the British area, again with live entertainment periodically. There are several spots in Canada, near the hotel, near the water and near the gardens.

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, the options are not as plentiful. There are some spots in vairous courtyards, and there is seating near the Big Hat. There are other possibilities near the Sci-Fi Drive-In and near the Muppets.

At the Animal Kingdom, there are a number of choices. Behind Flame Tree Barbecue is an excellent spot. Also around the Tree of Life. There are possibilities near the exits for Dinosaur and Kali River Rapids. There are also air-conditioned spots at Conservation Station.

At MK, I like to rest with a Dolewhip. You can get one and sit in the area across from it. It's a nice place to people watch because it is a busy walk thru. I also like to "rest" on TTA. It is very relaxing.

At Epcot, anywhere is a good place. It is so beautiful there that any spot that you choose will be a good one.

Like others are saying on here, any of the rest areas in the World Showcase in Epcot. I really enjoy the little tables in Italy where you can sit and watch the street performer. The scenery is breathtaking and you have a nice view looking back towards SSE from across the water.

There are very nice places all around the world. Any bench in a shaded area will always work when needed. We love to ride the train or TTA at MK when we need a break, at least the movement of these creates a little breeze. And as others have said World Showcase has nice spots at all the countries. There are also many shows that are long like Hall of Presidents, American Adventure, Little Mermaid, etc that will cool you off and entertain you at the same time (or help you sleep depending on how you look at it).

She could always take a ride on the monorail. TTA is our favorite. Once stayed on for 6 go rounds with a sleeping toddler. MK and Epcot have plenty of options. Studios I'd say the shaded area opposite Sci-Fi, a table at the ABC Commisary, or Sounds Dangerous.

At DHS, the Writer's Shop (I believe it's called) near the Sci-Fi Diner is a good stop. Air conditioned, cushy chairs, and a coffee shop with pastries! Really nice place to rest and recharge your batteries.

Hmmm.. Let's see.

MK: TTA has to be my favorite. A nice cool calm ride with my feet up.

EPCOT: Italy...sitting in the square sipping a Bellini.

DS: This is a tough one...the Great American Movie Ride, cool and seated.

AK: Lot's of benches to sit on depending on the view you like.
