Can someone refresh my memory how many table service restaraunt the Polynesian has, how many of them (if any) are signature restaraunts and which ones (if any) are character locations?

According to

http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm#res

POLYNESIAN

Barefoot Pool Bar (9/06)
Captain Cook's Snack Company (8/09)
Kona Cafe - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Kona Island Cafe Coffee Bar (8/09)
Kona Island Sushi Bar (8/09)
'Ohana Character Breakfast (4/10)
'Ohana Dinner (7/09)
Polynesian In-Room Dining (10/09)
Spirit of Aloha Polynesian Luau (4/10)
Tambu Lounge (5/09)

I don't believe any are Signature - unless you count the Luau.

Kona Cafe and 'Ohana are table service.

Thanks, guys. We're hoping to go either late March or early April next year, and even though it's so far off, I can't help tossing around ideas in my mind for restaraunts on the next trip.

But alas, I looked on that link that Joe posted, and neither of the Table service locations looked overly appetizing. I guess I'm just mostly a tradional "meat and potatoes" kind of guy and find it hard to deviate much to more ethnic or exotic cuisine. :hurl:

I don't think that Ohana is overly exotic food. My husband is a meat and potatoes guy and can't wait to go there on our next trip. It's tons of meat all grilled over an open flame. You might actually like it.

Both of the restaurants are pretty good (although Ohana has slipped a little over the years). Ohana has a lot of meat, so if that is what you are looking for then you are heading in the right direction. They will bring skewers of meat to your table as much as you would like.

You have to try the character breakfast at Ohana's - it's great!
The dinner at Ohana's does not feature characters, but the food is awesome. :slurp:

We just made ADR's for Ohana's for our trip in December. Can't wait to try it as we haven't yet. It was busy though we had to book it for the end of our vaction instead of the begining like we wanted to. So if you want Ohana's make the ADR's as earlier as you can.

You can get one of the most amazing steaks at Kona Cafe! It is a teriyaki but you can get that on the side.
