Hello!

I just made reservations for HBD at 7:55pm....but the park closes at 8! How does that work? I don't want to get in a situation where the cast members are 'rushing' us out....I want to do everything I can to not ruin the magic :) Has anyone else had a similar reservation to this?

If you ever noticed when the parks close, the shops and some of the food places stay open for awhile after. I'm sure they will let you eat your meal in peace. (I've never had a ressie that close to closing to say for sure, but this is my guess)

We had a ressie at the Japanese sit down restaurant in Epcot at 8:15. It was well after closing time when we left the restaurant. We strolled out at our own pace, with no one rushing us to finish eating or to leave the park. The majority of the shops, etc. were closed, but it was beautiful just to stroll through the park without the crowds.

Don't worry, though, we found the crowds at the bus station when we got to that portion of the park:lol:

I love EPCOT after closing. Usually we watch the fireworks over by England and then when there is a mad rush to leave after its over, we walk towards France and walk the world at our own pace...and by the time we hit Germany, its pretty much no one. Then we finish walking around and end up in England again to head to the Beach Club. I love it there after closing. Its so beautiful and peaceful. A great feeling, especially if its your last night there. Leave with a awesome memory.

No problem, we usually book last seating at all park restaurants for dinner. The tables are easier to get. Eat at your own pace. We have even stayed for awhile drinking coffee with no problems.
Have a great trip.

My husband and I decided on the fly one time to go eat at Nine Dragons right before Illuminations. We ended up coming out in the middle of Illuminations and then hanging around once it was over taking our time walking and stopping to smoke. (yes I know it's bad for me lol) Anyways, the next thing we knew there was maybe a handful of people around and the boats were coming in. The next thing we knew we were being stopped and up went the walkway in front of us. It was so cool seeing the big Globe & all the other boats coming in for the night! I had no idea where the went in at until that night. It was def. very cool & there was never anybody hurrying us up or anything. I honestly think we were two of the last 20 people out of the park that night.

Did 50's Primetime at about closing one time. The restaurant was hopin' (still fairly full when we left) and no one was shoo-ing us to the gate. We didn't go to parts of the park we knew were not operating but took our time heading out and got some lovely pictures on the way out as well. Just take your time & enjoy...the security rottweiler dogs don't come in for a several hours :)

Again, you shouldn't worry. We ate at 50's Prime Time Diner and Canada as well at closing time this previous trip. At no point were we rushed at all...
