Arriving at Orlando International and seein the hotel right inside the airport got us dreaming about wouldn't it be awsum if there could be a resort right inside the Kingdom? Forget about parking etc right now..but only how neat that would be..Maybe a princess themed or a toy story themed resort...what do you think?

Something similar to the Grand Californian resort with its own entrance into the California Adventure Park might work. I’m not sure if the land around the Magic Kingdom is suitable for building. Perhaps some of our experts can expand of this theory.

Hmmm....I think it would be cool but also part of the magic is when you first come into the MK and see the castle down Main Street. It's like a treat every time I see it. If I were to stay "in" it, I think the magic may be somewhat less. I would stay there maybe once (if affordable which I doubt it would be) and then the fix would be gone.
I agree with the above post that maybe right outside of it, but then again...isn't that just like staying at CR or BLT?

The Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris is inside the parks. Part of the hotel is above the train station. I always thought it would be amazing to be able to stare at the castle in the middle of the night.

Well according to a coworker, there is!!

I overheard something like this...

Person 1: We're staying 5 nights in the Magic Kingdom and 3 nights at Universal

Person 2: You're staying in the park?

Person 1: Yeah, the one with the animals.

Person 2: You mean Animal Kingdom Lodge?

*sigh*:brick:

I think I have to agree here. Nothing can match that feeling when you first walk down Main Street.

As mentioned above, there's the Disneyland Hotel in Paris and lets not forget the hotel Mira Costa, that is literally both hotel and part of the facade of the "main street" to DisneySea. Having something like that at WDW would definitely be cool though I'm not really sure more resorts is what the place needs at the moment.
