I could see that. They already don't really want AP holders in the parks much. If it was me and the treated me like this I would let my pass lapse and go to a park that appreciates their holders.
That’s our plan, let our Keys expire and visit the parks less, Disney gets what they want and we’ll just spend our vacation dollars elsewhere… not sure why any company would want that but we’ll oblige.

I can understand the Genie+ one. It makes no sense to put in a temporary change only to re-do it in a few months.
Precisely. Genie+ is different and has a very specific service agreement with people who have purchased it through December 31. The AP program terms are ambiguous by design.

All of these things take time because they have to first decide what to do, second make the necessary software changes, third train CMs and then fourth finally announce the change. They also don't want the program to be known for random and significant changes. They want to land on something that will last for years.

Oh come on, we all know Disney has a huge rooms with massive displays that are tracking guests and CM's around the parks via their cell phones at all times. Why do you think they keep building these large ugly boxes in each park? ;)
Did you give the Disney app permission to use location services when you installed it?

If so, there's location data being sent to a Disney server somewhere.

It's also nighttime entertainment. Epcot and MK have it, DHS barely does and AK not at all. They need more nighttime stuff. Fantasmic should help but they should also bring back Galactic Spectacular (or similar) and a Rivers of Light replacement.
Galactic Spectacular was fantastic! Early 2020 last sight, following Fantasmic. Nothing in the sky at MGM, now DHS, is a definite loss for WDW, as lingering in the shops and restaurants has been eradicated.

very few left there anyway, they shuttered too many, or did away with them all together. that park has half what it use to. and whats left has been turned into a preschool toy store.

Haha I love how technologically advanced people believe Disney is regarding this stuff. Most of this stuff is hacked together, so many systems don't talk to one another and leaders certainly don't have access to that data (in reality, under normal circumstances, no human does).
Leaders in most locations can find out very easily if you’re in a park (if they wanted to)

Don’t be so paranoid. It’s not like WDW is going to make guests wear a tracking bracelet and then have their every movement recorded by a multi-billion dollar computer system. That’s just nutty.
What’s sad about this is with ALL this data they still have failed in using it properly. This type of $$$ and dedication to knowing your every move should end up with near perfection when it comes to guest satisfaction yet here we are…

Answer is simple, don’t waste your money on the DPS and use the Keys to the Kingdom card.
