Rescheduling Help...

Hi!

Due to all sorts of general craziness and health issues, we are having to reschedule our Thanksgiving trip until January or February.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a good time to go or of a time to avoid?

I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone could offer! :wave:

January and February are pretty good times to go, but you should avaod President's week if you can.

I don't know about January myself ( have heard after New Years is good) but in February the week after President's Day is great. We are planning on going again in 08 we liked it so well this year. :wave:

i was there the beginning of this year january thru may...and me and my parents got there the 6th and there really wasnt that much of a crowd. the wait times werent bad at all...maybe 40 mins was maybe the most...the cheerleaders that come for the big national competition made the crowds bigger but that wasnt til later in february i think, i dont really remember


but going in mid january would be a wise move instead of thanksgiving...

There will be Cheerleaders & Dancer there the last two weekends of February as well as the second weekend in March.

Please no bad mouthing cheerleaders. I am a gym owner and am only posting the info to help out the OP. I will take offense to cheerleader bashing as I alway make sure my cheerleaders act with respect when we are ay WDW.

All I know is that you should avoid the dates surrounding New Years and Mardi Gras...

We were just there in early January of this year. My only comment is that the Marathon was a bit frustrating at times...:wave:

We went for New Year's (December 30-January 6th) and from January 2nd on, we had the parks to ourselves!

No cheerleader bashing here! I have a little one (she'll be 18 months) and I want to make sure she can have some quiet time to take a nap if she needs one.

That's incredibly true. Everyone is occupied with the game, so the parks are pretty empty.

What about that thing where the Superbowl MVP says "I'm going to Disney World!!" and is then magically trasported into the MK with 250,000 people???? :ROFLOL:

We will be going jan 12-19th and marathon is what, the 13th i think??
Does anyone have any info on what parks are best/worst to go to this day? as that is our first full day, we were planning on AK and then head to MGM for Fantasmic.

Any advice concerning specifics on marathon crowds much appreciated. Thanks!
