Point taken - however it might be a bit more like putting Mystic Manor next to the Haunted Mansion, and a lot of people might not mind that.

MM was the HM replacement, but the two are quite differently thematically, tonally, and functionally. If someone went on both with no prior knowledge of the history of the attractions, it's unlikely they'd make the connection.

Tron and SM are both sci-fi themed enclosed coasters in near pitch black with quasi-abstract light effects. They are really, really close. Why not develop a new idea for that prime Autopia real estate?

It also has to be said that Tron is as close to a dead franchise as one gets in the current Hollywood environment. It's odd - between this obsession with Tron and Pandora in AK, Disney, one of the largest entertainment companies in the world, is showing a strange misunderstanding of the point of IP synergy.

Or a Dumbo next to a Dum... wait a minute!
SC is such a waste. Dumbo lost its charm without the close view of the castle. I hate that SC was created just to keep a spinner in the park. I guess it fits into the train station theme but they could have done so much better ( a real Frozen attraction not a shoe in) if they would have just said sayonara to Dumbo.

I agree though with others... Space Mountain needs to remain the big boy of tomorrowland.

Put a dark ride into SC with the Big 5 putting on a circus - dark rides fix anything!

You are talking about a park that had almost perfect transitions in its early years. All Adventureland to Frontierland transitions are pure perfection. No sight line issues with any of them. Frontierland to Liberty Square is a beautiful storytelling journey. Liberty Square to Fantasyland was handled ingeniously (until idiots ruined it decades later) though it was a bottleneck. Moving on you had submarines and Autopia that acted as a buffer between Fantasy and Tomorrow.

MK actually has very few sight line issues. If they proceed with this design choice it would be incredibly saddening. What was supposed to be a temporary land is hardly justification for the further erosion of its sensibilities.

Many of the quirks Disneyland has are due to a process of experimentation and discovery. Ultimately WED was heading towards Magic Kingdom when they were honing in on their craft. Magic Kingdom has no excuse for careless execution after 60 years of experience and thought.

Rapunzels tower by the HM irks my bird. I can't get over that one. What were they thinking? Even a few ... very tall trees on the HM side would greatly help but the fact remains. :(

So I think we can come to an agreement that will please everyone. Keep the speedway. Add the light cycles to it. Boom! New ride, no awful sight lines, and the terrible gas fine cloud will be gone.

I'm available for hire anytime you wanna play ball, Disney.

Couldn't agree more... they obviously were more worried about getting the tower done quickly than they were about sight lines.

I just don't see this happening. They'd be wise to replace Stitch & Buzz before any huge new E-ticket.

Why replace Buzz? Give it a decent clean and its just fine.

Yeah, Stitch needs to be replaced, but I don't know that it's a priority over a new e-ticket. If they were willing to keep it open it would make a perfectly adequate placeholder until they develop something superior (high praise!) The only problem is if they decide to cut costs by closing it without replacing it, making it a garish empty spot on the map.

Eh, I'm not much of a fan of Buzz. I guess I just don't get it I dunno, but I just cannot bring myself to use a FP+ or wait 30+ minutes for it.

Maybe I'm spoiled riding MIB at US so much

TRON coaster would not work for Magic Kingdom. It would take away from Space Mountain and it's experience. It is the marquee attraction in Tomorrowland.

And the TRON coaster in Shanghai breaks it's theme in that it has a part that goes outside into daylight. It ruins the experience of being in a TRON world. It also makes you sun-blind. I am a big fan of TRON. I'm the type of fan that the TRON coaster should appeal to, but the way they did it in Shanghai doesn't appeal to me.

Now if the Magic Kingdom did another type of TRON ride, perhaps a a dark, flat-ride with some dips, spins, and speedy areas...that would be cool!

Space Mountain in the current form is not a marquee attraction. I cannot believe I am bashing one of my favorite rides ever so bad but this past trip was horrible

Space Mountain is too iconic to go away...and at it's core it is a really great ride... Just needs some work...but the heart of the ride is pretty teriffic. I wouldlove to see them put some money back into the show scenes as well...Maybe repurpose what is left in the warehouse from Horizons and use them in the show scenes on the speedramp...Home of future living part deux....
Move it to the Space Pavilion in the newly named Discovery Expo at EPCOT Center.

Eventually, will we have an automated driverless speedway? Exhaust fumes without the thrill of sitting in a glorified lawnmower tractor and following a predetermined rail. Add potholes, stop signs, and speed bumps, then you would have some real excitement. We can't have segways, POTUS 43 couldn't avoid falling off one and if you ever watched the EPCOT indoor Segway exhibit, you'd know why they need a rail and to constantly tell people that they can't bump cars. It also makes the need for speed governors obvious.

An E Ticket version of PPF in Epcot's UK pavilion would be extremely popular. Space Mountain just needs a complete track replacement mimicking the original with modern FX.

IMO.
Can the low slung rockets have a smooth track? If not, I want a new type of car.
