Remember when The Hulk and Dragons were smooth?

They're so rough. I feel like The Hulk has gotten faster and rougher. The need to refurbish these rides before someone gets hurt.

I already was hurt on Hulk last year. During the final inversion, my head bounced off the side of the head rest and ruptured my ear drum.

I've never found Dragon Challenge to be rough at all.

After I rode the Hulk I literally had trouble walking. I think I might have even blacked out. The ride is incredibly rough.

After riding so many coasters in various parks, I am bored of the same old loops and inversions. So many coasters are the same. I prefer coasters like the Mummy much more.

As for the Dragon coaster, it seemed smooth to me (1.5 years ago)

Hulk all depends on your train, not the coaster itself. They've been redoing the wheels on the trains, and the new ones are smooth.

Dragons isn't rough at all.

If you have issues with the roughness on the Hulk try to ride in the middle. It's not as rough as the back or the front.

Having ridden both rides many times since 2000, I can say that Dragons has stayed pretty smooth. Of course they have closed the ride for painting and refurbs a few times since IOA opened.
Can't say the same about Hulk. I rode it a week back, and it's smoother than it was about a year ago. The ride just needs a solid two to four week refurb where it's closed and track is sanded down, wheels are replaced, and paint is touched up. I think if they actually gave the Hulk some downtime it'd be much smoother. After all, the coaster has basically been open every day since spring 1999.

No problem with Dragons here either.

Hulk has some rough bits, but I've never dealt with a lot of the issues people have with it. *shrug*

It is imperative you have your head back and locked on the lift hill, I have found that if you are looking around and leaning forward it's hard to recover.

This is what I hate about coasters, I can never keep my head back and hate the feeling of my head being forced off my shoulders, I never recover! Their not for me!

Please if you want a rough coaster go to your local Six Flags and pick one. While it has gotten a little shaky over the last half decade it's still leaps and bounds ahead of most steel coasters out their built pre 2000 in terms of ride quality.

Never had an issue with Dragons either, have rode three times in a row back to back with no issues at all.

Hulk is just pure pain now. It's a constant high frequency vibration that goes straight to the brain. Almost enough to give me a lasting headache.

Honestly don't love the ride enough to suffer that discomfort.

When it comes to uncomfortable, Hulk and Dragons don't hold a candle to RRRC. Not sure if I'll ever give that one another go-round.

I have a different experience on Hulk almost every time I ride it. Sometimes its super smooth. Other times its very rough and gives me a headache. But - a lot of coasters are tempermental like that. Its the nature of roller coasters.

You are correct about the six flags part. Rode King Da Ka this last summer and I sprained my neck.

Do you go very often, I wondering if the difference is the trains. Maybe you want to start noticing which train you ride and decide if it was rough or smooth
