Remember when The Hulk and Dragons were smooth?

I visited Islands of Adventure end of may 1999 the first month it was open.

My impressions then- Hulk had me seeing spots for 20 min after I got off.

Dueling Dragons had the longest and most immersive queue, even more than Disney at the time, and the shortest coaster time. Was a fun ride though.

Dudley Do Right had paint chipping. It was only open for a few weeks at the time.

I remember thinking theme, propping and CM training were no where close to WDW. Boy have things changed.

El Toro at Six Flags made me pee my pants. (Either that or the water mist machine soaked me.

And for the most thorough beating from a coaster, go on The Cyclone at Coney Island.

I mourn the loss of that queue on a daily basis.

I didn't know it was gone because I haven't been back since. Yet!

I just remember walking through what seemed like an entire castle to get to the loading area. Room after room, seemed like a mile.

What is the queue like now?

It's mostly stripped out now. All of the skeletons are gone and the ice room is gone. There are a few Harry Potter props, but nothing much.

I feel like this, along with which row in the train you ride are both a factor. Either they've been redoing the wheels on certain cars, or the placement in the train has an effect. I hate riding in the back because I seem to get knocked around more often than in the first four rows or so.

Is there any way to fix that or, 'is it is what it is'?

It's upsetting that they don't sync up the trains anymore. At least, that's what I've heard, due to safety reasons.

Either some guest were throwing items at the other trains when they passed or things happened to fall out of the trains as they passed and hit other guests.

Pretty disappointing.
It makes me so angry. Islands of Adventure HAD some pretty unique coasters. The world's only launched B&M and the world's only dueling B&M inverts.

Now, it's the world's only launched B&M and the world's closest B&M inverts...

Me too. I still think they're great, but it's sad. I LOVE Harry Potter with all of my heart but I wish they had some how incorporated the queue themeing. I feel like the incentive to ride it has dropped significantly, between that and the loss of the dueling aspect.
