Relaxing things to do at The World

So here's what I'm thinking: the day after our wedding, we have to get up at 4:30am to get ready for an Epcot photo shoot at 7. Then we have brunch with the family at 10:30am. After brunch we're moving from Bay Lake Tower to Kidani Village. After that, I was thinking we would take the day relaxing (whatever that means) and we have dinner reservations at Boma. I have no idea what we're going to do for the rest of the day.

Sorry I had to laugh... it is the day after your wedding and you just don't know what you are going to do. I am showing my age.... I know what I was doing the day after my wedding. ;)

I think the above suggestions are great for you to keep in the back of your mind, but maybe for purpsoes of your fiance, I would suggest you tell him you haven't planned a thing for the days off. Tell him that on those days you are just going to wake up and decide as the day goes what you feel like doing. For me, it's completely liberating to think "I have nothing I must do today." Maybe if your fiance goes into the day with that type of "freedom" in mind, then he'll be the one to say "you know, maybe it would be fun to go do X" and then you can pull out all of the above ideas to suggest possible things to do?

I just love to sit and "people watch". I love sitting by the pool and taking a "dip" now and then. The Peoplemover is relaxing. Eating at any restaurant is relaxing, but most are loud. Have a drink, have another, and another...;)

lol! Unfortunately due to a yeast allergy I can only drink vodka (mixed drinks), but I do have every intention of having many drinks during this trip! :P

Hopefully it will be warm enough for the pool! Thats always super relaxing to me...or spending the day in the hot tub?? *siiiiiigh*

UMMMMMMMM, I suppose touring other resorts might be nice...getting away from the crowds? Maybe make sure to plan time to just SIT and people watch. Find a shady bench or something and just sit and watch people.I love people watching.....LOL People are fascinating when they dont know they're being watched. Makes me so much more aware of myself...haha

There's quite a lot to do at AKL, it all depends what you feel like doing. The community hall has a pool table and a foosball table if you feel like something like that (and it's free). The observation decks are always a nice place to relax and watch the animals. Check the board off the front lobby for a listing of all the events that day.

By the way, we did the EPCOT photoshoot in September and it was fantastic.

That's awesome! I'm not trying to be a creeper, but do you have the pictures yet? I'd love to see what I'm in for!

You're not being a creeper. I posted a few in the trip report I did when I got back. Here's some of the pictures:

Go horseback riding at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. You can take a Surrey bike around Boardwalk and Y&BC. While you are at the BC, go by the lake, grab a drink, and sit and swing on the beach.

We'll be there for 14 days in January. With that much time at WDW everyday is relaxing. We never rush thru the parks (except on the morning we ride Toy Story). We always are at rope drop no matter what park we go to to start our day. From there we take it as it comes. Love taking time to sit on a bench and look around, have a snack or just chill. On our second week, we take one day and visit relatives about an hour from the parks, and this coming year plan a visit to Hard Rock Casino in Tampa for a bit of fun and if there's anytime left that day will drop in on DTD.

Check out the local bar for a couple of libations, go to Downtown Disney or check out some of the other hotels to see their design and decor.

I really love to just explore the resorts, especially Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge. They both have a great layed back feel to them! Also Fantasia Gardens putt putt is really relaxing, and usually not too busy. In the parks have my favorites as well:
MK: Wedway PeopleMover
Epcot: Sit in the Gardens in the back of England
MGM: Ice Cream at the Picnic tables at Sunset Market
AK: Pagani Forest Walk
