Relaxing things to do at The World

The one time that my wife and I have gone without our daughter since her birth, we spent some time relaxing while sitting by the World Showcase Lagoon and eating some snacks. The temperature was in the mid seventies and the sky was blue. It may sound simplistic, but it was such a pleasant moment in time that I remember it to this day. As I think of it, I'm drawn to go up one morning while my daughter is away at college.

I agree with you! Unfortunately, my fiance does not. I have all 15 days crammed full of stuff. We have a couple of DTD days which I thought were days "off" but DF wants a full day to do nothing. I figure it's the least I could do if he can hang for the entire trip! :D So here's what I'm thinking: the day after our wedding, we have to get up at 4:30am to get ready for an Epcot photo shoot at 7. Then we have brunch with the family at 10:30am. After brunch we're moving from Bay Lake Tower to Kidani Village. After that, I was thinking we would take the day relaxing (whatever that means) and we have dinner reservations at Boma. I have no idea what we're going to do for the rest of the day.
I like those ideas about carriage rides around POR and laying in a hammock on the beach, which I really liked the hammocks at CSR, but I think they have them at the POLY and CBR. I didn't find much relaxing about AKL, well the pool area had plenty of loungers but like you said in December laying out by the pool may be a bit chilly..but cuddling in a hammock to me seems warm and cozy and honeymoonish...maybe once you settle in at Kidani and browse around and then:
1. go do a carriage ride at POR,
2. see the decorations at POR/FQ
3. then maybe find the beach with the hammock and take a nap
4. by then you should be hungry again, and Boma puts you back at home base then you could
5. Hit the beach at the POLY for fireworks maybe ? or
6. just go to bed early...
