Regretting my trip to Disney

I arrive tomorrow for a week. My mother in law is currently there and said the parks are PACKED. People are complaining about over crowding.

What the heck was I thinking going this time of the year?

We prefer august...as late as possible in august. One year we went in January and it snowed. Vowed never to go to wdw again in the winter time. At least you know what to pack in the summer.

As far as crowds, it is fun to be there even if it is crowded.

I'm sorry your trip wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been at different time of year. Our last three trips were in June, August and June, so I know your frustration with the heat and the crowds. Hopefully, all of you had at least some time to relaxation the resort or somewhere else away from the craziness at the parks.

Thank you. It wasn't all bad. Luckily my mom was on the trip so I was able to go back for some late night fun!
My son everything and anything that had water so that made it well worth it. I think his favorite was the Honey I shrunk the kids playground

I'm from Houston, so I relish the fact that others leave the park because it's too hot and humid. It's like the freaking Briar Patch to me

It will be a different experience but you will still have a magical time. Make sure to have the app and a plan to navigate the parks. I like to tell people that have 3 things you must do, then 3 things you want to do and then rest is just the cherry on top. I hope you have a great trip!!

Late August isn't exactly dead, but much lighter than the rest of the summer because many schools are back in session already. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people in the Northeast (where school usually re-opens the day after Labor Day) have caught on and now the parks seem busier that time of year than they used to.

we come over from uk every feb(tie it in with Daytona 500)the crowds are pretty low and the weather is nice. obviously compared to the uk the weather is always better! if you plan your fast passes in a sensible manner you should find that even in busy periods you'll be able to get most of youre favourite attractions done.

The trip is over and done with. Thank God. I don't really know what I was thinking brining such a young child this time of the year. He hated being in the stroller so much. When we did let him walk he almost got trampled a few times. Thank god for fast pass is all I gotta say! Without it, the trip would have been a complete disaster.
I lived and learned. I will only go with my kids in the spring or fall.

I normally go the week of the 4th of July and as long as you go expecting large crowds its not really all that bad. It is gonna be hot and people are gonna be rude so drink lots of water and let the rudeness roll of your back and you will have a blast.
