Disney's finally talking about the new lasers- http://aboutwaltdisneyworldresort.c...features-new-environmentally-friendly-lasers/

They're environmentally friendly. No water cooling system and they use the power of a hair dryer.

"France" went in on Friday night.

This change made me wonder how they handle the audio playback for these shows. Do they print the mix ahead of time and play from a multitrack player, or do they use a system along the lines of SFX or QLab that plays individual elements for each show?

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they just edited the voiceover part?

Does anyone have any idea how to capture video of the new lasers without having them look like they're flickering, when in fact they're stagnant? Does it have anything to do with the frame rate of the camera?

Its both the shutter speed and frame rate that you are using to capture the video.

Your shutter speed should be at least double that of your frame rate, so for example, if your shooting at 24fps, your shutter speed should be 1/48 or its closest equivalent (1/50) ... but to really get it smooth increase your shutter speed.

Rule of thumb for anyone who wants smooth video is that SS>FR.

Also keep in mind that a direct hit to your sensor on most newer digital video DLSR's or even higher end Red's or Canon C500's from a laser strike can damage the sensor on your camera beyond repair.
