Will be interesting to see. I'm suspecting they are using a high performance coating which I am guessing will have a fairly long life. I doubt they want to be repeating this too many times.

I haven't been following this very closely so these questions have likely been answered, but I would appreciate it if someone would answer to the below questions so I don't have to go digging through the 291 pages of this thread for the answers.
What is the reason these things aren't backstage and pulled out to the lagoon for testing? And when Harmonious actually debuts is the plan to actually leave these things out in public view? "Show" was supposed to be one of the keys and there is a reason why they retract those lighting rigs in Disneyland for Fantasmic.

They have to debut Harmonious before October 1. Ratatouille is enough to bring people to Epcot. Besides they have the Magic Kingdom show happening anyways.

Additionally, I believe part of the reason they have done this is because of the size of the barges and the electricity they must use, Disney believes it is unrealistic to bring the barges out a few hours in advance as was done with ROE.

They’ll have to do a full rehearsal first I’d imagine, which hasn’t happened yet. I’m sure we will know when it does. Any firework that goes off around WDW these days gets posted on social media lol.
Things will indeed get busier. Quite soon. But don’t expect public shows yet.
