i was looking through some old stuffs and huh it looked similar..

Good to see 2012 technology coming to EPCOT. This will look great for the folks that have camped out an hour and a half to get a good spot facing the harmonious portal, everyone else around the lagoon.... Oh well..

This will be great for the first few performances until it starts to break and fail. I predict the barges and portal will eventually be towed backstage to rot in the Florida sun...

Eh I don't think they will go that far. I just think all the fancy moving arms and fixtures will break and the lighting will become alot more static after a while.

Well maybe it's more reliable than ROL's 2016 Tech that broke what 2 days before opening night and TDO couldn't get ROL going for 10 months?? ROL finally opened Feb 2017.

As for the seawall launches, Hasn't it always looked that way since 1988, maybe earlier, but now we don't like the look in 2021????? Let's not give Epcot any ideas to go from the new 9 to 0!!

im disappointed they went with a flat water screen instead of the spinning compass thingie
wonder why they shelved the original spinning compass concept

It's going to be amazing the complaints after the first night when 50% or more of the guests realize they couldn't see the main screen.
Remind me NOT to be in here the first night!!! If we have a first night!! COVID Chaos is still around so who the heck knows about Reg Entertainment's fate!!!!

It was updated in 2008? Hmmm I still couldn’t make out the images most of the time... Oh well, Harmonious will fix that 😀.... until it breaks down 🙁....
Because they were only using the land masses for the video, which is just 25% of the Earth's surface.

If you were in the FP viewing section, and had no one blocking your view, you could make out the images, since that's as close as you can get ("good viewing from anywhere around the lagoon" my sweet caboose!).

The first time I did that, I had a good out loud laugh when I saw that Munch's "The Scream" was part of the video.

Unfortunately I expect Harmonious will be a watered down version of this show. This looks more on par with WoC. That ring has more lights around the edge, fire effects that I don’t think the ring in Harmonious will have, and most noticeable way more fountains that are closer together.
