I will be going to Disney World in July and will be staying at the Beach Club Resort. I have stayed there twice before and both times had gotten the refillable mugs. My question is can I bring the same mugs from my past trips instead of buying new ones? Thanks!:)
PS-Do they still cost $11.99?

Haha this is a HUGE word of caution. This thread will flame up very quickly and may be removed. Some people are VERY against it because of the new printing on the new mugs. I have been bringing mine back for years and plan to bring it back on my honeymoon too! I think the price is up to $12 or so I think. Good luck!

There are also signs on some of the soda machines indicating that the mug that was just purchased is good during your current visit only.

***Puts on my asbstos fire suit. :D

I just ask because I have heard other people have done it but was not sure. I do not want to cause any trouble.

So, if I have a mask and gun laying around, is there any harm in trying to rob a bank?

yes cos thats is a REALLY GOOD comparison

....

:hammer:

word of advice mind, if your putting your fire suit on, may i suggest you dont add fuel to the fire to begin with by posting irrelevant and idiotic comparisons when someone may have a different opinion then you.

I think I am just going to buy the new mugs when I get there!

Good idea ;) Unofficially, we've used ours at ASMusic forever. A small problem did arise when my moronic brother thought that his one from 1998 would suffice...LOL...a female working there turned to one of her male co-workers and was like, "He can't actually be thinking of using that."

The guy was like, "Let's see if he tries."

Yep, my brother tried.

The guy was like, "You know what? That's pretty ballsy. Just let'm go."

I laughed my :lookaroun off.

Not to flame the fire, but we've used them, no one has said anything. Does it make it right? No. Do we still do it? Yup.

my point exactly - :sohappy: they probably dont even care (that much) to be honest... as the amount of people that probably keep the sovenier mugs is disproportionate to those who will buy them everytime they go.

I love mug threads, I used to hate them but they always bring back a certain nostalgia, it must have been a month since the last one.

bottom line, you're not supposed to, some people do, chances are nobody will say anything but how much of a turd will you look like if you try it & get caught? I doubt they'll kick you out for it, but face it, you probable feel like a total "doo shnozzle"

It's a practical 12 dollar souvenir. I like buying them for that reason, the souvenir factor. I'll try to cut corners lots of oher ways, but to espressly do what wdw asks you not to do, in order to save 12 bucks over the course of a 7 to 10 day trip seems really petty & small to me.

The last time I stayed at Dixie, there was a guy filling up a huge plastic popcorn bucket with Coke to take out to the pool. There were two CMs cleaning the area and neither said anything.

I've always bought a new mug with every visit but I'm curious to know if anyone has ever been approached or know of anyone that was approached while using a mug from a prior year.
