Hi everyone. Yesterday I watched Ocean's Twelve and they mentioned EPCOT Center in it. Does anyone else know non-Disney movies that mention one of the Disney Parks?

"Did I miss something? When did we get to Disneyland?"-Lone Star in Spaceballs. I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of any.

One episode of King of Queens mentioned Epcot. It was the one where Doug takes Carrie to that hotel in the woods. He thought he took her before, but it turned out to be a different girl.

One thing that irks me is that movies and shows usually refer to Epcot as EPCOT Center still. Heck, it irks me when anyone does it, especially Disney fanatics who should know better... *glare*

:p

Simpsons:

In the Simpson's episode where Bart & Lisa go to military school, Homer and Marge tell them they are going to Disneyland. Then they do it again when they are going to the Dentist.

Another episode is based entirely on Epcot (Efcot Center where - "my god, it's even boring to fly over it.") THis one also has the pet peeve of "Disney World" and "Epcot" being separate things.

In that episode, Horizons was still there... Except it was an auditorium, where they had some awards thing.

There's also the house of the future in the episode, which if you dig through some of the old photos and drawings--was played with as actually being put in EPCOT. Actually, the drawing and the one in the episode look farily similar from the outside.

Jurassic Park:

John Hammond: All major theme parks have had delays. When they opened Disneyland in 1956, nothing worked, nothing.

Dr. Ian Malcolm: But, John. But if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists.

HAHA! Favorite Line Ever!!! *imaginary rep point* :sohappy:

I was watching Mad TV last night and they had this little skit on how a CD entitled: Hilary Duff, Live at Epcot Center... was really EVIL music. Then they had bible boy come and shut it down... it was pretty funny.

I was surprised they didn`t dub in the correct date for the DVD....
Gotta love Universal!

Seaquest DSV (TV series - what...10 years ago?) had an episode shot in and outside of The Living Seas pavilion. Also, D.A.R.Y.L shot some scenes in EPCOT Computer Central.

I LOVED Seaquest DSV! I guess most people didn't since it ended so quickly! I've been looking for the DVD of the episodes but have not found it. I figure since everything else is on DVD, that might as well be, too. I remember the episode at Epcot.

Sometimes in the news they still refer to it as EPCOT Center, I remember hearing this on and off during last years Hurricane Season. Long live EPCOT Center....heeluva lot better than what Epcot is today.

Even the info for a travel channel episode has the park called "Epcot Center" not EPCOT Center. But oh well, it still has "center" :p

A few Full House episodes mentions trips to disneyland. One I remember is that Stephanie was upset they couldnt make a day to Disneyland because of bad weather for flying. They tried to make it up to her with "Dinnerland." It was bad.... lol

Not exactly IN the movie, but in one of the short features on the Team America DVD, the set creator mentions that they didn't want the Paris street scene to be geographically realistic, but rather with all the landmarks condensed into one space "like the way people who've only been to Epcot think Paris looks."

I already said this somewhere else, but a recent episode of Joey talked about Michael going to Disneyland with Gina's boyfriend. The funny part was that he later talked about going on Space Mountain when it still has been closed. :hammer: I'm pretty sure Pirates of the Carribbean was also mentioned.
