All in park permits will have to get approved by the new boardI had thought that since RCID doesn't actually control the parks, that Disney is free to do what thery want inside the parks boundarys. Where it might get dicey is if the want to expand a park to build something new that isn't already designated as being owned by Disney. Time will tell.

It’s just as likely they’re all fired and then it’s “outsourced to save money” at three times the costPresumably they think they'll get a better contract with the new board than the current board.
They might, they might not. They're betting on it though.
The transition period is just for the use of the name.I honestly thought nothing would come of this. Granted, the two year transition period does leave it open for a potential next governor of Florida to undo the damage, or for the legislature to make changes to the law before it takes effect.
No, the District approves all projects within its boundaries. It can also institute additional reviews and approvals.I had thought that since RCID doesn't actually control the parks, that Disney is free to do what thery want inside the parks boundarys. What makes you think the three attorneys don't have specific political agendas they want to implement and have been given the perfect tool to use? Likewise, the Radixx CEO was likely selected because of a desire to mix the religious beliefs not because they can be compartmentalized.I predict that the three attorneys will mostly be harmless. The former CEO of Radixx, if a decent administrator and able to separate his religious beliefs from his work, could be harmless.
It's the Sarasota School Board member that will be the biggest pain.
How much control do they have over content of attractions?I would assume that if Disney keeps doing things the DeSantis doesn't like, he will have this board disrupt Disney's business as much as possible.
Directly, no. But finding other reasons as an excuse is pretty easy. How much control do they have over content of attractions?
Did he need Disney’s permission to stage this on their property?Wow this is bizarre. Quite unbelievable that this is taking place at Walt Disney World.
No.Did he need Disney’s permission to stage this on their property?
It wasn’t on Disney’s property, it was on the district’s property.Did he need Disney’s permission to stage this on their property?
Initially, there was an expectation that Disney would fight this, which has not happened. What I don't understand is so many people including those on this board and other like @lentesta said last year that this was all for show and nothing could really come of legally it similar to Trump's announcement in 2015. Now it seems like this can really cause some issues for Disney in Florida. Was this a similar underestimating of DeSantis' ability to push through what he wants or is this still just a big show without any teeth? Just kind of confused how exactly this affects WDW.
Thanks for the clarification. I guess I took everything within WDW’s borders to be Disney property. It wasn’t on Disney’s property, it was on the district’s property.
The reason Roy Disney insisted…look it up…this in 1964 was to avoid this in the first placeNo, the District approves all projects within its boundaries. It can also institute additional reviews and approvals.
I've worked with plenty of political attorneys. If they're even remotely competent, they'll be pointless. They're just focusing on a bullet point for their resume which could eventually lead them into becoming judges. What makes you think the three attorneys don't have specific political agendas they want to implement and have been given the perfect tool to use? All of these people are responsible only to the governor and not to any electorate they govern over.

I mean it is, but not really lolThanks for the clarification. I guess I took everything within WDW’s borders to be Disney property.
What you saw was brown nosing to their new boss... hoping they can get pay raises because their Union has been at odds with the old leadership.True
