Seriously, how much is this going to impact Disneyfan? I'm guessing not at all.
Zero. It will slightly affect Disney's financials which may have mostly insignificant impacts on pricing and offerings.Seriously, how much is this going to impact Disneyfan? I'm guessing not at all.
I don't think the benefits are going away, just wide tax exempt benefits. I don't know what the rules are for special districts these days though.Without the benefits RCID provides it could take Disney 3 years to build a clone of a coaster from another park.

The normalization of American governments punishing private speech could effect Disneyfans quite a lot, though more as Americans then as Disneyfans.Seriously, how much is this going to impact Disneyfan? I'm guessing not at all.
2 years is forever for a guy that’s eaten that much saturated fatHe still trails Trump by quite a bit.
Elon Musk?2 years is forever for a guy that’s eaten that much saturated fat
…or probably 11Without the benefits RCID provides it could take Disney 3 years to build a clone of a coaster from another park.
This is completely false. None of the sales tax you pay at Disney goes back to Disney.
Seems like the district will simply be reestablished with less favorable tax exemption status. Clearly everyone knows OC absorbing the district would be quite messy.
"An independent special district affected by this subsection may be reestablished on or after June 1, 2023, pursuant to the requirements and limitations of this chapter."
Dude... 'hold this for me' does not equate to 'go back to Disney'. Lay off the stretching... we all know what they were trying to say and they were wrong.Ehhhhhhh..... maybe? Florida has a direct pay program that allows companies to collect the tax and defer payment back to the state.... so that Disney can collect the interest (at least for some period of time). It's weird.
Everyone i mentioned except Tim Cook (kale) and Taylor Swift (nothing and amphetamines)Elon Musk?
(That's a callback joke for you kids in the back.)
SCOTUS also has been pretty clear that companies like Disney have a first amendment right to make statements like they did. So any retaliation, which this clearly qualifies as, is a violation of their first amendment rights.
This, to me, really seems to be the crux of the issue. It kinda feels like we should all be a lot more outraged by government retaliating against a private corporation for political speech, and the fact that we aren't is a pretty big problem with the country right now.
This isn't the first time the current Floridian administration has tried to limit private speech. This is a REALLY big deal.
They could but I honestly think they just want the win that Disney is "now paying their fair share in taxes." I don't think they want to put OC through that transition in such a short period of time, it would be crazy.OR they'll try to reinstate every special district except for RCID and then try to play innocent as if the passage of time between now and then excuses their actions.
I ate a whole bunch of kale one time. Nobody will convince me that what it did to my body is healthy.Everyone i mentioned except Tim Cook (kale) and Taylor Swift (nothing and amphetamines)
Another problem there is I bet Osceola county isn’t gonna give up that sugar without a fightSeems like the district will simply be reestablished with less favorable tax exemption status. Clearly everyone knows OC absorbing the district would be quite messy.

It already happens. The normalization of American governments punishing private speech could effect Disneyfans quite a lot, though more as Americans then as Disneyfans.
No no no it's a brand new thing that just started on June 16, 2015.Retaliation in politics is awful - but let's not pretend this is some emerging threat.
