The people who are angry that Disney is losing their fiefdom which saves them millions, per the WSJ, aren’t exactly free market capitalists. What they’re really angry about is that corporations will now think twice about injecting woke ideology into their businesses because they know there will be pushback.

Some of are also upset that elected officials who have sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution are violating that oath and abusing their power by punishing others for constitutionally protected free speech.

Yep, which is why I think he may step in and work to get them some incentives to bring all that extra investment home. He wants to win political points too. Who knows in the end but I do believe this will be a net lose for the state of Florida financially when it is all said and done.

In a way you're right in that people are angry/worried about the government being used to silence dissenting opinions on its policies. Conversely, others seem fine with this as long as the government is being used to silence the views of those they disagree with. What side you find yourself on regardless of your views on the actual issue should tell you a little something about your own political beliefs.

It’s not a claim when it’s true. There is a math problem in the new textbook in Florida that is a statistical evaluation with racism as the subject matter. It give statistics of how “racist” you are given your political view.

To be completely fair, RCID really only has one entity pulling permits, not thousands of different companies and people from all over with all different subjects and things that need to be looked into. I doubt there has ever been a permit that TWDC asked for that RCID didn't grant.

You’re city being mismanaged is not relevant. The local jurisdictions aren’t taking two years to issue building permits. You can go look up permits right now and see how long they are taking. Sesame Street Land was designed, permitted and built in about 18 months.

Overstepping it's bounds? It's not like the political left tried to force 100,000,000 American workers at private companies and an additional 4,000,000 federal employees and 5,000,000 contractors to receive a vaccine, potentially against their will. Do you forget how they forced private landlords to let rent-delinquent tenants stay on their property in perpetuity until the SCOTUS had to stop them not once, but twice?

Oh, and who can forget when Gavin Newsom dictated that Disneyland and other parks stay closed for over a year while WDW operated perfectly fine? Do you forget how that same Governor was repeatedly caught in violation of his own mask mandates while he was having businesses fined or even shut down for violating themselves?
