So, I am in the beginning stages of planning my 2015 trip, a 1 year anniversary for my future wife and myself in June. I will be using the dining plan, and I am looking at the deluxe dining plan, if it is offered in the same way for 2015, which is 3 meals (TS or QS) and 2 snacks a day. I am just looking at some recommendations on what restaurants to go to. Some of the restaurants we will for sure go to (from her tradition and mine) are Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, 1900 Park Fare (Breakfast) and Be Our Guest. I know I want to go to California Grill, and Cinderella's Royal Table. I am just wondering what other thoughts are. What we did in our last visit was plan our restaurants around which parks we would be at, and so that is what I am thinking again. I know there may be a day when we would have to use quick service for one day, maybe the last day, but like I said, I'm still in the planning stages of the whole thing and just looking for recommendations to make it a memorable 1 year anniversary.

Don't overlook the signature restaurants at the hotels....Narcoossee's and Citrico's at the GF and Artist Point at the WL. They are all wonderful and very romantic. The Kona Cafe at the Poly is also great for breakfast....try the macadamia and pineapple pancakes...YUM YUM....also 100% Kona Coffee and fresh squeezed OJ. Congratulations on your engagement, wedding and First Anniversary....:cat:

Some others to consider are Jiko, Yachtsman Steakhouse and Hollywood Brown derby for signature. Whispering Canyon is fun as is the Hoop de Doo revue.

I've done Cinderella's Table for both breakfast and dinner. Managed to time our dinner reservations and location (table by back window) so that we could watch the fireworks while we ate. But personally, I prefer breakfast, especially if you book before Park opens and can see the opening fireworks.

I know some have had a bad experience, but we've always enjoyed Chefs de France. And for a good time (and the best bread pudding this side of my Irish grandmother's), I would try Raglan Road in Downtown Disney. Great beer (try the flights), good food and good music. But will warn you, it is the busiest restaurant in Downtown. Don't expect to carry on a quiet conversation - the place is loud and rocking.

Also like Wolfgang Puck's - the sea bass is amazing and the sangria is very good.

I couldn't agree more. Definitely keep this in mind. The resort dining experiences are typically romantic, quiet, and very magical without being in a park. Happy planning!

Definitely look at the resort Signatures. I have a soft spot for Yachtsman Steakhouse:inlove:
I book my meals based on what park we will be at too. We tend to eat dinner at one of the MK resorts our arrival day then head over to MK for Wishes and some park time. We don't park hop but we do spend a half day at AK and do a signature meal after that park.
I've heard fantastic things about the Hollywood Brown Derby in Hollywood Studios (signature, and you can book the fantasmic dinner package here)
We enjoy Coral Reef, Via Napoli, and Teppan Edo.
I would recommend trying one place that is "outside the box" for you. Like African, Asian, or etc types of food. Then maybe trying dinner at a Resort you have never visited. Like Artist Point if you have never been to Wilderness Lodge, Jiko, Sanna, or Boma at AKL, or anywhere on the Boardwalk if you have never been there.

Well, the OP DID mention Cali Grill, so he's not COMPLETELY ignoring resort signature restaurants.

On days you plan any Signature dinner, consider either a: a buffet meal for a late breakfast or early lunch, so you don't miss that extra meal credit; or b: using your snacks as a light lunch, perhaps paying for something else small out of pocket, because after all, when you eat at Cali Grill, you won't want to walk in full, right?
