Recent Sinkhole Near Disney Property Raises One Question: How Worried Should YOU Be?

It'd be easier to discern sarcasm and satire if so many here didn't actually believe Universal is somehow dominating Disney.

"Uni is better because they're faster and quicker to capitalize on things!"
Oh, yeah, how's that new Marvel stuff coming along? They've only had 7-8 years to capitalize on the huge success of Iron Man....

Okay, we're getting side-tracked from the true issue at hand. Sinkholes are clearly plotting to take down the human race. We need to band together, instead of oppose each other. With all of our unique skills and traits put together we should be able to develop some sort of flotation device to put under the entire state of Florida. This would ensure the survival of all DisneyParks guests, along with the survivors of the sharknado at Universal. A sinkhole can't sink or hole if there's no place to sink or hole!

Clearly some posters in here have sided with the sinkholes and are working to distract us from this imminent threat with another endless Disney v. Universal debate.

12 cars sunk into a hole when an IHOP parking lot collapsed in Meridian MS. But local officials stress that it is not a sinkhole.

Mississippi is next to Alabama, which is next to Florida, where WDW is located.

The geology of Florida is very different than Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. The fact that they are close to each other is irrelevant. The majority of Florida is sandy soil on a limestone base. Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama are mostly clay over bedrock.

This particular collapse in Mississippi was caused by a water main break and could happen virtually anywhere.
