Rare performance of Wishes last night (video)

This is one of the reasons why we take our vacation the first week of July. We love the fireworks on July 3 and 4.

Are these shot from the same locations as the HalloWishes perimeters?

And part two of my question...where are those launch locations? Are they on the train tracks? That's all I could guess based on our vantage points from the Hub and then BLT's roof.

:sohappy: INCREDIBLE. I've always wanted to see them do that!

Thanks, Steve...Amazing stuff you find. What convention was this for?

As I understand, Granger bought out the MK for the evening. They did a regular Wishes last night at 6:30, which totally caught me off guard, as I can hear them from my house.

They cost a lot more than a regular show - manpower, setting up and taking down the temporary launch sites, plus pyro.

They are good though!
Also, perimeter shows are a headache from a Cast logistical perspective. More road closures than during a regular show and Toontown having to be cleared, among other things.

They should keep using the perimeters! It should become a part of the regular show.

It's not as easy as it looks. Martin and CaptainHank already described the problems pretty well. The shows may look very very nice and are popular with pretty much anyone but the added cost and trouble is not worth it. Not nightly anyway. World Drive has to be closed North of the Contemporary and Floridian Way has to be closed North of the Grand Floridian. Several more crew members are needed as well.

Pretty much the same as HalloWishes.

There are a couple on World Drive. Only one used to be located on the railroad tracks themselves. The rest are on Floridian Way.

Thanks for the video, Steve. Very nice show.
