Rare characters now appearing at MK during bridge construction?

I saw this post on another board and was wondering if any insiders here have further information. We'd really like to get autographs of Clarice, Prince John and Friar Tuck for our collection. We arrive on Aug 31 and with the extended dates of the construction would like to try to go to the MK in the evening to catch these characters. Does anyone know if this is a regular, predictable occurrence?

During the Liberty Square bridge construction with two Dreams Come True parades (3pm and 7pm) and no Spectro, they have added Characters to Town Square during the evening. We were in the area a couple of different nights during our trip, and it seemed pretty consistent with:

Pluto
Chip and Dale
Prince John and Friar Tuck
Clarice
Marie

Check it out if you're there in the next week, there are some pretty rare finds!

This is absolutely correct. The characters begin appearing at 4:30 p.m. and stay out until 7 p.m. as "bonus entertainment" in lieu of Spectro. They appear in front of the train at the front of the park (not Town Square). Marie does not appear that entire time, but I can't remember who appears after she leaves.

Since I have your attention - can anyone confirm whether Tarzan and Jane will be at the Halloween parties this year? We looked for them last year when we went to do the last party in September but they weren't there and hadn't been for any of the September parties. I was very disappointed to find out that they later appeared at all October parties. What's with that? :animwink:

There's probably no way to confirm it, until after the first party.

I'm glad that Marie and Clarice are out doing sets.

I haven't heard anything about who's going to be out at MNSSHP this year. Maybe Special Events will surprise us this year and put some "rare" characters out.

disney should have the steamboat willie from fantasmic do meet and greets outside the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater on rare occasions

Steamboat Willie does meet and greets at Disneyland, but his face has been "powdered" and is not black and white as in the short. He is wearing a scarf and white shorts.
