I mean you're right, in the big scheme of things it really was a quite pathetic 'fight'. I think the screaming makes it appear far worse than it really is, it's two guys not really wanting to fight and just 'wrestling' badly. It goes without saying though that 'grown ups' shouldn't behave this way, especially in Disney World.Part me honestly laughs at this kind of thing, and enjoys it for what it is, dumb people doing dumb things. However part of me feels really disappointed that there are some young impressionable kids seeing this take place in places like WDW or DL. You know? Just the possibility of having what would normally be a pretty awesome childhood memory tainted a bit or a lot by some heated up a-wipes that can't keep their sh*t together for a few minutes and just walk away.
I know that it's not the worst thing that can happen in the world and that It's hard to completely avoid, being that most of these people dropped tons of money, you have crowds, heat, long lines, etc. etc. but I guess I am just thinking of how I would feel about WDW if my 7 year old self saw my old man get into a brawl in the queue of PPF or IASW.

I find the screaming of children as bystanders to be āunmagicalāā¦in all scenariosI mean you're right, in the big scheme of things it really was a quite pathetic 'fight'. Remember Disney brings the child out in all of us--- good and the bad Ha HaI mean you're right, in the big scheme of things it really was a quite pathetic 'fight'. Living with the LandMaybe my brain isn't working since quitting sugar last week, but, what is LWTL?
Thanks, I spent ten minutes going through every park in my head trying to work it out. So there was a brawl on that ride!Living with the Land
It's going to be called 'It's A Brawl World'Well I heard from a bus driver...and remember these guys are in the loop and know things... that Bob Chapek has decided to install an arena in AK where Primeval Whirl was recently demolished. The site will be a venue for family tag team events. Five minute rounds, 10 rounds, no holds barred, anything goes. Which means hair pulling, groin kicks, ear biting, and other dirty tricks will be allowed. There is however as usual a 42" height requirement for participants. Families wishing to take part will register at park opening at guest services.
Winning families will receive free Genie + , family servings of Mickey Bars and length of stay popcorn buckets.
In the 1960's decade there was a full blown riot in Disneyland you know. Police, security, guys with long hair, bikers, all brawling right there in Disneyland. Since both Disney parks opened there's been lots of crime (even violent and sexual) committed and many arrests made. Whilst there's a viewpoint from many that the 'modern Disney' gets things wrong, I can't for the life of me see how Disney is to blame for a bunch of idiots brawling in TSL?
I suppose they could do a criminal records check on every guest entering the park and not allow entry to anyone with previous? Perhaps do a 'shifty eye' check at the gates or have a 'dodgy haircut policy'? SWAT teams with sniper rifles above every public space just in case anyone decides that some dude's giving them the stink eye or looking at their woman? I mean honestly what do you think Disney could do to stop idiots fighting that wouldn't infringe on people's rights when visiting the park?
Yes. There's also a thread about it:So there was a brawl on that ride!
It was a bit before my time but I read about it in one of my many Disney books. As you say, CrazyI meant for more than just the get-togetherness. We're all being asked to pay hundreds a day during a terrible period of inflation and for what? Cost cutting measures & in-your-face IP advertisement & rude people.
You surely have some amazing ideas though, why not share it with park management?
But seriously I never knew about the 60's brawl. Crazy.
This happened just last year at HHN and the cucumber girl and the LWTL fight got more attention from social media and here.
There was a lot of this in various parks during that era. Although it was already in terminal decline, organized rioting was the straw that broke the camel's back of Willow Grove amusement park, one the last remaining "trolley parks".In the 1960's decade there was a full blown riot in Disneyland you know.
