Yes, I did see the "oops I forgot those clothes" display in the gift shop, lol. They have one of everything that fits the need. Did I mention how affordable they were? Oh, well, maybe that's because they weren't, lol.

what is the per day cost for parking at Prot Canaveral? Also what is the cost of round-trip transportation to/from WDW?

It's $15 a day to park in Port Canaveral. The transfers are $69 roundtrip.

For a family of four there are different options that are cheaper. Renting a car, town car services, etc.

Disney's transfers are super convenient though!

Man, these are some kick-butt responses! Ya'll totally rock!!! I can't thank you enough for taking the time to entertain the spastic noob in me who can't move an inch if the clueless feeling remains. LOL!

Those dry cleaning prices seemed really inexpensive! I think our local cleaners charges like $10 for each of the guys' coats. It's insane. Their shirts & pants I always launder and press. Nobody ever presses stuff to my standards. I'm all about paying someone else to do pressing-duty especially when it's THAT reasonable.

I get ya on the dressing up. I realize I'm definitely overthinking this one. LOL! It's just like anything else, we try to hold ourselves to a certain standard when it comes to dressing appropriately even if the rest of the world doesn't. Church, funerals, weddings...we always try to be at the standard that *we* feel is correct. My oldest son totally loooves to dress up. I tried to have him get by for a recent funeral so I didn't have to go buy him a new sport coat to go with his shirt & tie but he was sooooo adamant about having every piece just so. Found some killer deals so it wasn't a total bank buster plus we bought everything on the verge of too big. I'll lay you money it'll fit like a glove for the cruise!

Here's another sorta question: I need to get a feel for the timing on the cleaning/pressing service. I suppose this all depends mostly on what night will be dress-up night. Ideally, I'd like to have enough time AFTER the cruise dress-up to send the guys' clothes for cleaning/pressing again in order to have them back all set to go again when we get off the ship. On debarkation night we're planning to have our anniversary dinner at the Yachtsman. The hubby said he really wanted to wear his coat for both of those nights. I know some of you have a way of telling which night will be which...or am I mixing that up with something else??? LOL!

Yeah, Disney's transfers are pricy. If I didn't have my car I'd be looking at hiring transportation via limo or towncar. I really do think we're driving. With 3 drivers and our own wheels it'd be insane not to. Plus, at $15/day to park we're looking at $45 vs. $276 for the transfers. Yeah. We're driving. LOL!

I've heard of people taking bottles of liquor onto cruise ships to mix their own drinks. I've also heard of people bringing cases of bottled water. I'm more interested in the water thing. Is this still allowed? Does anyone have recent experiences with this? Other than my morning coffee or tea and the occasional juice, I live on bottled water. I don't drink sodas at all, not even diet. Something about carbonated drinks blows me up like a balloon. I drink so much bottled water that I have certain "labels" that I prefer and others that I avoid. I don't wanna get stuck paying extra for bottled water that is one of the gross ones. LOL!

Yo, Dave! Is there somewhere online where I can see some good maps of Castaway Cay??? I haven't really spent time looking but if you have some links handy I'd be ever-so grateful!

Okay! Gotta get these boys some lunch before they waste away to nothing... Yeah right!

Y'all rock! Thanks again for everything!!!!

We are in the same camp here. My youngest daughter as well. My oldest, not so much, but she knows when she is dessed appropriately. My youngest would put on a ball gown to go to the grocery store if I let her.

I don't belive you can tell before hand. Both times I have been, 'dress-up' night has been the second to last night of the cruise (if I remember)

I don't see why you could not, but you can get water on the ship, at the drink station. It's not bottled, but it is filtered.

You will have to turn your head sideways :)

Debate of the last hour: to get transfers to/from WDW for the cruise or drive our own car. We're driving down to WDW for 3 nights, cruising, then returning to WDW for 6 nights. Hubby's vote is pay the transfers to/from the property and let them handle the baggage. Does the baggage work the way he thinks where they take your suitcases before boarding the bus then the next time you see them is in your stateroom? Or do we have to juggle them any in between? I'm voting for driving our own car. I want to move at our own pace, get to the terminal before the buses, and when we leave be able to get back on property as fast as possible. What have you done and what would you do?

Im really picky where I park my truck and when we did our first cruise on the Wonder in 08 we did 2 days at PoP then the 3 day cruise followed by a week at Por. I called Disney and asked about taking the Disney busses to the ship and back and while that can be done they said that I could not leave my truck on property while we were not there. They said security keeps tabs on vehicles parked at resorts and it they saw where my parking pass wasnt valid the vehicle would be removed.

We'll be on the Dream in Apr, and as a family of 5, it was WAY cheaper to get 2 rental cars than to take the Disney bus. The first rental is for Saturday night and Sunday morning, the other will only be for a few hours on Thursday to get from the ship back to the airport.
