Random Everyday Things That Remind You Of Disney

We live basically next door to a catholic seminary. There is a long drive way at the end of which is a statue of a saint. At night, the statue is lit up, and because of the light and the color of the statue, it appears to have a blue green color and looks like a ghost from the haunted mansion.

There is also a gift shop at a local mall the has painted statue/knick-knack type things of animals such as lions and hippos that make me want to build my own jungle cruise.

The sound of busses also remind me of Disney. Also anytime I hear a Beatles tune on the radio I think of the British Invasion. I'm going to miss them :(

Time to get the first posting out of the way...
1. The smell of diesel exhaust reminds me of riding on a golf cart behind buses in Fort Wilderness.
2. People wearing yellow ponchos at sporting events: looks like the yellow Mickey ones popular in the parks in the 90's
3. And finally strong smelling barbecue grills remind me of the smell of the grills at the campsites in Fort Wilderness.

When we visit a Disney store in the local mall here in New Orleans, it almost feels we are back in Down Town Disney. Just not as big.......

Earlier today I was bringing the groceries in from the car and heard some birds and said to husband, "Don't those birds sound just like the ones in Disney World?" :)

I recently found myself smiling at the "TSSSSSSSSSSSST" sound that a bus made while I was walking to work today, and I immediately thought of the Disney buses. That's just the latest example of common things that for one reason or another remind me of Walt Disney World, and it immediately put me in my happy place! How often does it happen to you?

Funny, on Friday I smelled the exhaust from a bus and thought "Oh gross!" and then a secong later "Oh it smells just like the Dinsey bus!" :)
