Quick Update from Magic Kingdom 1-18-13

Hello, I visited Magic Kingdom today, And I have some pictures to share with everyone

First, Before the Magic Kingdom Pictures, I visited the Casting Center for a 1:00pm Interview, and go back February 1st at 1:00pm for my 2nd Appointment for being a New Cast Member, I will be working Quick Service for Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival this year.

Now Onto The Kingdom of Dreams

Sleepy Hallow has some Walls and a Tarp on it now.

Tarps around the Adventureland Vendura(?, Someone correct me if Im Wrong)

I think this is what Lee was hinting at when he said Explosive when referring to BTMRR
(Look upper right)

I didnt snap a Picture of it, But also, In the 2nd Maze room in BTMRR, There was a Dynamite Lever to Push down, And in the Picture, The new sets on the Mountain looked as if something would be explosive.

On Splash Mountain, They have a decent amount of rockwork removed on the Big Drop

The Fanciest Lavatory ever made (Tangled Restroom)

Nothing new with Seven Drawfs Mine Ride today, Except the Backside facing Mermaid

Speaking of Mermaid, I remember these set of fish not moving in The Little Mermaid Ride back on New Years, and they have yet to be fixed..

Some Path Work next to Poohs Thoughtful Shop, Castlewall

Also, I dont have a picture, but to the left of Gate 8 on The Barnstormer, There is some walls with Flooring Work going on.

Over at Disneys Contemporary Resort, There was some construction on the Fire Exit Staircase on the Bay Lake Tower/MK side

Mermaid was up to one-hundred minutes today (needless to say we got Fastpasses), and I must say all this new live entertainment really brings some life into the park (lots on MSUSA and in FL)! But a set of dynamite was uncovered on BTM (whatever it did wasn't activated yet though), and I don't know if this has been already reported or not but the Polar Bear on Malestrom has been fixed. Also, they were repainting the giant ALL-STAR Music letters outfront and the Three Caballeros in the Calypso pool were away for refurbishment. And not sure if this means anything but a bunch of people in suits were getting of Sum of All Thrills and writting things on clipboards... Oh and the New Test Track is incredible, and this was also the general consesus of everyone in our car. All in all this was a great two-day trip!

On January 15th 2013 I was in Disneyland and there were people in suits with clipboards at the Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin ride. That was the only ride I noticed people in suits standing around with clipboards. There were two men and a woman. One man had a bald head and he was not wearing a jacket, just a shirt and slacks (no tie). He had a radio and some kind of device in his hand. The woman had a device in her hand too that might have been a black iPhone or an iPad Mini. The man in the suit had an iPad for sure.

They were standing to the side on the platform where you get off the ride. There is some kind of door there and the man was lurking in the opened doorway. The woman and the other man were standing where people would pass them getting off the ride. They were not clicking a silver thing to take the number of people going by though. The woman was clearly staring at the people as they passed by though. Not sure what she was recording or taking as notes.

Could there be something up in all the parks with these people and clipboards?

There were four people there two of which (one man and one woman) who looked higher up and they were the ones with the clipboards. They promptly took their notes and left but the other two lingered around talked to some guests and cast members(looking less serious) but then also left?? They all had little microphones/speakers in their ears... Who knows maybe Mickey hired some secret service?

I wasn't able to get any pictures by the time I got to Splash Mountain today because my phone had died, but they're repainting all of the thorns at this point. Obviously, I'm not sure what's in store for the interior of the ride, but it was kind of cool to peak over the stone wall and see them working on it. There were probably 5-10 people repainting, alone, so I feel like it's pretty safe to say there are probably dozens of people working on the whole project.

They've got the covering up for the scrim on Sleepy Hallow now.
