I go on aug 28th, but how do you find out about the bounceback? what is it exactly?

The way I caught it last year was when I turned my tv on they have that set channel with Disney advertisments on it and it had goofy and said we've cooked up a hot offer for you. I thought to myself wow thats awesome Im already here but I called the number anyway and fount out it was for next (this) year. Im sure when your there you can just dial reservations from your room phone and ask them about what bounceback offers they are giving.

A bounceback is basically like buying the package you bought but for a later date before anyone else gets a crack at it. So if your on free dining thats what will be offered to you hence bounceback. If you feel ill after reading my explination of that feel free to email me a punch in the face, Im in bed with one eye open!!!

Well you and her go...Its a VERY hard deal to pass up. Im taking my girlfriend or I guess what people around here would say DG? Anyways its kinda her first time shes been before with her high school band and litterally didnt see or ride a thing except TOT. She was excited to go but its getting closer now and she is going nuts so I dont think it will be hard getting her to go once a year. Or 6 times a year when Im full time at UPS and we get our 6 weeks vacation!!! :ROFLOL:

Actually, the "Free Dining Season" started a few days ago.

The date ranges offered to UK residents and as part of last year's Bounceback offers were 8/10-9/27 (this is according to MouseSavers). So, you could potentially have Guests in WDW right now under Free Dining.

But the larger wave of Free Dining guests won't start until 8/24, and will go through 9/20. Those were the dates that Free Dining was offered to the general public.

I just returned yesterday from CBR, and I was pretty disappointed with the bounceback. First of all, the flyer in the room offered 30% off Moderate and Deluxe room rates. However the dates were for the remainder of 2008. With a few "blackout" weeks around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but just about anytime from Aug. 10th - Dec. 31 2008.

Before we got there I was really looking forward to the details because it certainly seemed like an offer we'd be interested in, but we certainly couldn't afford to return in the next couple months! Thats a pretty quick bounceback in my opinion.

I confirmed that the dates were in fact for 2008 at the front desk, but they "didn't really know much about it" and instructed me to call 407-WDISNEY. I did, and they told me that the dates were for 2008, and that he didn't know of anything for 2009.

I kind of just got frustrated and didn't question any further. Like I said, before we left I was hoping to get a deal on a package for maybe the same week (early August) in 2009, or at the earliest the spring?...but not within just a few months after we left.

Not sure if this helps, but this was my experience with it. Something new may come about, but if like me, you need a little time before you can afford to turn around and go back, don't get your hopes up.

I am hoping for a bounce back deal. I go Sept 19 th to 28th . If I get an offer I will report it when I get back. Hopefully after Aug 24th they will offer it.

Wondering about the bounceback offer too. I am very curious to see if it will be for the Quick Service instead of the Regular Dining Plan.
Last year we had a flyer in our room with the offer. If they offer it we are going to book it again for next year. Guess I will see when we get there in a couple of weeks.

Heading for the great escape.
Isnt free dinning effectively stealing food funded by those whose lives are such that they if they wish to visit they have to go at premium times?

Free diners are bottom feeders at best and ultimately cheap. IMHO of course
