I know I sound like an Idiot for asking this but what is a Prime Number? It has to do with math.

lol it simply means not capable of being divided by any number except itself or 1:as,7 and 23 are prime numbers!![]()
Nothing you can multiply can make 7 or 23 other then 1x23 or 7x1.

I too knew what a Prime Number was until I read Freak's posts.
If 2x2 = 4 and vice versa and then 4/1 = 4 then you can conclude that 4 and 2 and their Prime #'s of which they are derived have to be............... :hammer:
It's exactly what some others said: Any number that can only be divided by 1 and itself.
Not sure if 1 is valid or not. :brick:

are you really sure about that?:animwink:Originally posted by spider-man
No. But less frequent.
Think about 1,000,000,000,000,000,001. It is prime.![]()

I think it can be proven using a Fibonacci sequence.![]()
That's when I slowly back away.......Originally posted by garyhoov
Don't even joke like that Scott! Next we'll be getting mathematical proofs.
