Question about Osborne lights??

I will be attending the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on Nov. 16th and we were wondering if the lights at Hollywood Studios would be up and running at that date??? On line it states Nov. 28th....but maybe they will be testing them out

Maybe. There's generally a few nights of testing before the "official" opening of the Lights. Know that the light's usually don't dance until the official opening night.

However, the 16th might be just a little too early for them. But, if you're going to MVMCP, you wouldn't really have time to run over to DHS to see the Lights.

We are actually going to be there a few nights!!:animwink: One night fro the party and the other to look at other lights!!! This will be our 3rd year at the party but the earliest that we have gone. Do you think the lights will be on at EPCOT??

Unfortunately I would not plan on it.
As was said, they do test randomly leading up to the official opening, but I'm afraid you'll miss it by about 10 days.

Nope, the lights at Epcot definitely won't be on until the day after Thanksgiving. Sorry. :wave:

I think they are opened thru Jan 6th or something like that.

Ive been to Epcot 3 times before on Thanksgiving and the lights were up....
The Christmas trees were also up in all 4 parks....
and the Osborne lights were up (they go up REALLY early)
but they doing shows yet...

We are going on November 8th for a week. For the last two years (07 & 06) the lights, as well as everything Christmas were done this exact week - picutres from the AK parade and the Osborne lights for both - and not in test mode. We planned a trip for 12 of us, some first timers, and we are devestated that they decided to hold off til after Thanksgiving to start the Osborne lights, and the parade at AK. I will be putting in a complaint with Disney upon my departure (don't want to screw anything up by complaining while I am there!)

I just left a party where two friends are going the week after me and had no clue that the lights weren't gonna be on. They were going home to put in a complaint.

Unless they get a ton of complaints, I don't think we are going to see anything other than the MMVMCP - if you happen to be doing that!
