Question about free parking and staying on-site (The Swan)

Hi Guys,

Bit of a weird one this. Basically we are staying at The Swan for our wedding anniversary for one night so that we can do Boardwalk as well. We were wanting to go to Epcot the following morning and we were just going to walk it from The Swan up to the back gate but here are my questions:

1) If we check out of The Swan before going in to Epcot will we still be allowed to leave our car at The Swan?
2) Could we potentially get the free parking option if we drove to Epcot in the morning (I'm thinking no because we will have checked out)?

I've tried emailing them but not had a response - I live in the UK so phoning them is not really an option.

Any help would be appreciated.

As long as nothing has changed, guests at Swan get free parking at the theme parks for the duration of your stay, which includes your check out day. So you should have no problem driving over to Epcot and parking in the lot if you wish.

I can't answer if you can leave your car at Swan for the whole day, but if they operate like Disney hotels, that shouldn't be a problem. You can always ask when you check in if you can leave the car there, knowing that if not, you can still drive it over and park for free in Epcot for the day.

Have a great trip!

I believe there is a fee to park at the Swan, so you're probably better off taking your car to Epcot and getting the free parking there.

If you leave your car at the Swan, you're parking should be covered for the entire day. However, the last time I stayed at the Dolphin, I vaguely recall having some problem exiting the gated parking lot after I checked out. I think I had to buzz the parking attendants for them to open the gate but I definitely did not pay for an extra day of parking.

Alternatively, you should have free parking at Epcot on the day you checkout. Free parking is good for the entire day, not just until the time you check out. Keep your room key to show at the gate. You don't need to turn it in when you checkout.

The walk from the Swan to the International Gateway at Epcot is about 10 to 15 minutes. From there, it's another 5 to 10 minutes to Future World. If you plan to leave Epcot from Future World, you might be better off driving to the front of Epcot. If you plan to leave Epcot from the World Showcase, you might be better off leaving your car at the Swan.

if your staying at the board walk the next day, i recommend getting there as early as possible to check in to get your key to the world cards. your room most likely will not be ready, but you will get the benefits of it, including complimentary parking at the theme parks. I also would recommend leaving your car at the boadwalk and taking the boat over to Epcot. it saves time and the hassle of having a car.

Pretty sure parking at Swan or Dolphin is per 24 hours...
Conversely, I do not know if Swan or Dolphin guests get free parking at theme park lots or if that is a perk for just Disney resort guests and annual passholders. So unless ypu either have an annual pass, OR this one night at Swan is an odd mid-trip stay, where you'll still have parking privileges from your other resorts stays, stay parked at Swan but be mindful of the time.

I received the following resply from Concierge at the Sawn and Dolphin:

As a guest of the Swan and Dolphin Resorts, parking at the Disney theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney is free of charge with a valid room key. Self-parking will accessible up until midnight of the date of check out according to the front desk. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
