Question About 2 Resort Ressies & Dining

Hi all
A tricky question from my mom:

She is going in August and currently due to something about a package and dining plan, she has two resort reservations at both the Swan and the Beach Club.
When she calls to make ADRs she does not know which hotel to say she is staying at when she is asked.
She is afraid that if she says the Swan and then cancels it and chooses the BC, they'll cancel her dining reservations and vise versa.

I never thought of that and wasn't too sure what to say!

I'm guessing she should say the BC since she's interested in the dining plan and can't get the plan if she stays at the Swan, or does it not matter?
Should she just say she currently has ressies for both hotels?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the advice.
No, she is not splitting her trip between the two. She has to chose one soon.

Well, the hotel is relevant because she wants the DDP and she cannot get that staying at the Swan.
That's why it's such a big deal to her about saying where she's staying.
She's worried her ADRs will get canceled if she switches hotels and has the DDP.

I think she should say BC b/c it sounds like that is the way she is leaning. ( I vote for that one too!) And then if she chooses the Swan, and wants to keep her ADR's - I would call dining and have them switch the confirmation number that they are under ( I am assuming they can do that ) so that when she cancels the BC ressie, then it won't effect her ADR's. I loved staying at the YC! The back gate to Epcot was amazing!! :sohappy:

Unless things changed with the new ADR system, dining reservations are not directly linked to your hotel reservations. If you cancel the hotel reservations, it does not automatically cancel your dining reservations.

When they ask for your hotel reservation number, they just add it as an additional reference number to aid in looking up all your ADRs. (So if you lose your confirmation numbers, you can give them your phone number or hotel reservation number to find them again)

They are linked to your room reservation if you tell them you are staying on property. It also ties in to the celebrations application for everyone.

They can still find it both ways, but it does link.

The easiest way is if you are within 90 days is just to tell them you are off property.

To clarify...

It is true, that with our new dining reservation system, all of your dining will now be linked together and also linked to your room reservation. This allows us to correctly associate any vacation package entitlements to your dining reservation.

Note they are linked but not connected. What this means is you can change or even completely cancel your room reservation and your dine reservations will remain intact.

If you are booked on separate room reservations, please give us the reservation number of the hotel you will be staying at on the date you wish to dine.
