Isn't that what we do here daily?True, but I think voicing your opinion and making your thoughts known is rarely a bad thing. At the very least, a whole bunch of guests got together to share some magical memories.

Yes, so the question is, did they lie when they made that statement, or were the working under the assumption that it was going to be true, but things fell apart at the last minute?
Thanks to the answers on surveys, it has been determined that magic bands are so awesome that actual entertainment is no longer necessary.
The hub is the Disney cm intranet-this is fairly well known
The side note to all of this I would like to point out:
To those who felt that online petitions or facebook fan pages make a difference...here is your proof that they pretty much never work (there have been VERY FEW exceptions to this). When the OS (falsely) claimed (not their fault) that he wasnt going anywhere, soapboxers boasted about how a hashtag made a difference. Apparently not
and wonderful themed bathrooms!Aaawww nuts... This is so upsetting. But hey, we still have the wonderfully themed and interactive Incredibles Tomorrowland Dance Party!!
[sarcastic tone]
I don't see how it makes any difference. The way to handle this was to say nothing until contracts were signed. Instead, they foolishly made a statement that PUSH wasn't going anywhere. At best this is very dumb. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

I have terrifying imagery of trying to put my trash in a trash can and it pushes back, refusing to take my refuse. It's simple... PUSH's owner reached it to social media to try and put pressure on Disney during negotiations. They reached out to multiple sites and as far as I know only one site agreed to help them. Disney told OS that PUSH wasn't going anywhere and this caused PUSH's owner to think that he had the upper hand. I suspect he went back into negotiations with that mind set and Disney decided to push back, as it were.
I have absolutely no insider information on any of this, so it's purely my conjecture.

Here's the truth: I decided to retire from the theme park business to pursue other life aspirations.

No connection here. I'm just messing around.Because I'm (relatively) new here, I don't know if you are "the" real PUSH. Can anybody confirm or deny whether our member has any official connection?

Whether that's what happened or not, it made no sense for Disney to make that statement if there was no agreement yet. You don't see the LA Dodgers saying "Clayton Kershaw isn't going anywhere," then Kershaw raising his asking price & fans getting PO'd about broken promises. If pro sports teams are all smart enough not to do that, why isn't Disney? It's simple... PUSH's owner reached out to social media to try and put pressure on Disney during negotiations. Could have been a powerplay to help discredit those who get "insider" information..but honestly if that was the case...that was a horrible way to go about it.
For something that was operated within a Disney Park? I can't imagine they would ever allow that to happen.
So is the Orlando Sentinel going to call Disney PR and ask them why they lied to them 3 days ago?
Is it not possible that something changed? If the root issue here is as described.. which is an ongoing contract issue... Disney wasn't lying if Disney intended to keep PUSH reporting.
But what you intend to do.. and what you accomplish aren't always equal.
If anything Disney would have been guilty of being coy and not sharing ALL the details. But that's standard fare for PR.. don't share more than you need to.
