I definately agree.A minor thing, but for the final presentation we can include detailed sections of the world map as needed, such as this:
It's simply a shame to not make use of some of this detailed artwork.
In other notes, what needs to be done before the due date.

For character customization; we could set up shops (i;e Emporium on Main Street; Adventureland Bazaar in Adventureland; Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Fantasyland; Merchant of Venus in Tomorrowland, etc.) where the Player can buy new clothes and accessories.
And if they want to change hairstyles and makeup, just head to the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street! Who knows? You might even see the Dapper Dans there!

Sorry to chime in, but I just wanted to say that I’m impressed by the amazing work you’ve done, you really make wish that I could play this, it’s literally the perfect videogame! I really like the Boss Battles (Especially the Baymax/AUTO one), the Signatures, the plot, Figment having an important role, basically everything. And I really like @Pionmycake and @D Hindley ’s art, it’s amazing, and helps you visualize it a lot better, the art of the map is just beautiful to look at!
Also, as Coco’s Biggest Fan (Autoproclaimed but still valid
), I really appreciate the inclusion of Miguel and Dante! And if you wouldn’t mind, I thought that maybe a side quest for him could work, the idea I had is that Miguel visited Indy’s Temple with Dante in order to find inspiration for a new song, but the spirits of the Temple kidnapped him for some ritual that would free them from the boundaries of the Temple; by helping Miguel rescue Dante you obtain his signature. And maybe after getting his signature, Miguel and Dante could be seen performing/hanging out with the Three Caballeros.

Thought I'd do one more recap to help with preparing/writing the presentation. This is probably the last I'm really going to be able to do to help on this project. Might be free Sunday to do work on finishing writing stuff up.

We are at the home stretch. Just compiling everything and writing it up into the final presentation. This should be all our major info in one place. Some details may not be here, but most of it is I think. The autographs pictures and lists are in the last two posts.
We did an absolutely fantastic job! I don't know if I have ever worked on a competition project that has had as much excitement, effort, and creativity as this one! We've pretty much done everything short of coding the game haha.

-the World-
The Magic Kingdom of our game is an amalgamation of all the different Kingdom parks, but mostly Disney world and Disneyland. Everything is made real in this park. Splash Mountain is a real mountain. Space Mountain is a real space port. Instead of the tea cup ride, there is a small part of Wonderland. Etc.

-Plot-
Chernabog has kidnapped the Dreamfinder and is using his machine to take the power of dreams and imagination for his own evil plans. Chernabog has given this dream power in the form of Crystals to villains throughout the Magic Kingdom.
Figment seeks out a Dreamer (some one with an exceptional imagination) to help him save Dreamfinder and the world. The Dreamer he finds is, of course, our hero.
The hero is a custom designed character and can be further customized with collectable outfits.
Figment and our hero travel throughout the Magic Kingdom defeating bosses to collect enough crystals to be able to defeat Chernabog and save the day.
-Gameplay-
Gameplay is focused on exploration and light platforming. Rideable creatures (mostly horses) and vehicles serve as quicker ways to get around and fast travel tools help even more.
Combat is also a big focus. Our hero's weapon is a magic staff. It can be used as a melee weapon up close or to cast spells. The spells are linked to cards collected throughout the game. New staffs give different bonuses and allow for more cards to be equipped giving you more spells at a time.

Staffs
Weapons you collect throughout the game. Small number of staffs to find.
Spell Cards
These unlock new spells. You can only equip a small amount to your staff at a time, so choose carefully. The design of these is inspired by the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom cards.
Notes
Hidden throughout the world (like Korok seeds in Breath of the Wild), these musical notes can be traded in for songs that players can listen to at any time. They serve as a good quest for completionists. Maybe rewards like spell cards and staffs for reaching a certain amount of notes to give a more practical reward too.
Crystals
These crystals contain the power of dreams. The power that Chernabog is using to create a nightmare. These are collected by defeating bosses or other major challenges. The player must collect a certain amount (all?) to face Chernabog and attempt to save the day.
Pixie Dust
The main currency of the game. Used to buy Outfits, costumes, autograph book upgrades, and hats from stores and food from restaurants.
Food
The main health item. Dropped by enemies, found in broken boxes/barrels, or bought from restaurants.

Autographs
Autographs are collected from Disney characters around the world. Some are easy to get, others require you do a special mission or challenge. These autographs work as stated boosters (some may have special effects too) raising the heroes attack, defense, etc. The autographs are arranged in the players autograph book. Players can equip as many autographs as they can fit on the page.

Cutscenes of Disney characters in their respective lands look along, and send the player their best wishes in fighting Chernabog. With the new encouragement players are able to defeat Chernabog with new boosted stats.
- Collect the signatures of all the bosses, and then battle a second time with the second time around being harder for the signature.
- Battled on top of the castle. No matter how hard the player tries they can't defeat Chernabog for the stolen dreams have started to become nightmares, and the kingdom has begun to fracture into pieces. Staffs
can be bought at Merlin's Magic Shop in the Cinderella Village or earned through special missions.- The Apprentice: Given to players during the tutorial. A decent staff allowing to hold one card, and allows for regular melee damage.
- The Miners Staff: A pickaxe that holds one card, but allows for heavy melee damage. Also slows down the player when equipped.
- Tink's Wand: A wand that holds three cards, but can do no melee damage. Also allow the player to go faster.
- The Staff of Agrabah: Jafar's staff allowing to hold two cards, and allows for regular melee damage.
- The Staff of the Forlorn: Maleficent's staff allows for three cards, but provides weak melee damage.
- Merlin's Staff: Unlocked upon collecting all five staffs. Merlin's staff allows for regular melee damage, and three cards.
Spell Cards
can be found throughout the kingdom, bought from various magic shops in the kingdom, or given to the player by characters. After a while of using a card they must cool down for a set amount of time before being used again.
- Winds from the East: Given to players at the beginning of the game during the tutorial. It does little damage, but it knocks back enemies a bit. No cool down needed. (Main Street USA)
- Refresh: Given to players at the beginning of the game during the tutorial. It heals player a bit. (Main Street USA)
- Yensid's Fireball: Given to players upon meeting Yensid. It does little damage, but it causes enemies to burn increasing damage. (Main Street USA)
- Kaa's Hypnosis: Found while exploring the treetops in the jungle. It causes enemies to go to sleep. (Adventureland)
- Cosmic Power: Given to players by Jafar upon earning his signature. A powerful fire based spell causing enemies to burn increasing damage. (Adventureland)
- Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride: Given to players by Lilo after freeing Adventureland from the nightmares. A decent water based spell attacking enemies with a wave. (Adventureland)
- Colors of the Wind: Given to players by Pocahontas after freeing Frontierland from the nightmares. A decent wind based spell, and knocks back enemies a bit.
- Leota's Curse: Found in the Haunted Mansion through exploring. Enemies lose health as the player gains health.
- Facilier's Torment of Shadows: Given to players by Facilier upon earning his signature. A strong dark magic spell in which a large shadow hand comes out and slams enemies.
- Cheshire's Tricks: Bought from the Genie's Lamp which is unlocked upon meeting Merlin, and buying a new staff. Allows for players to turn invisible for a short period of time allowing to pass by enemies.
- Elsa's Ice Blast: Bought from the Genie's Lamp which is unlocked upon meeting Merlin, and buying a new staff. A strong ice spell in which players through blasts of ice at enemies.
- Mushu's Dragon Breath: Bought from the Genie's Lamp which is unlocked upon meeting Merlin, and buying a new staff. A strong fire spell causing enemies to burn increasing damage.
- Maleficent's Fury: Given to players by Maleficent upon earning her signature. A powerful dark magic spell in which balls of darkness fly around the player, and then attack the nearest enemy through an explosion.
- Space Ranger Laserblast: Found when exploring Tomorrowland. A strong electric spell which paralyzes enemies or a short period of time.
- Honey Lemon's Pinksplosion: Given to players by Hiro when Baymax goes rogue. A strong wind spell in which players throw pink orbs that explode damaging enemies.
- Doom's Dip: Given to players by Judge Doom upon earning his signature. A strong dark magic spell in a stream of dip shoots out of the staff, and poisons the enemy.
- The Heart of Te Fiti: Bought from the Main Street Magic Shop which is unlocked upon collecting the first 16 spells. It heals player a bit. (Main Street USA)
- Figment's Wish: Bought from the Main Street Magic Shop which is unlocked upon collecting the first 16 spells. A powerful light magic spell in which bright beams of purple light attack enemies.
- Zeus's Thunderbolt: Bought from the Main Street Magic Shop which is unlocked upon collecting the first 16 spells. A powerful electric spell which paralyzes enemies for a short period of time.
- Chernabog's Nightmare: Given to players by Chernabog upon earning his signature. A powerful dark magic spell in which a barrage of ghosts fly out, and attack an enemy.
