Princess Fairytale Hall - when is it supposed to open?

I may be wrong but it was my understanding that the current show building was to be demolished and new buildings erected. You never know with Disney. They change plans all the time.

went to the kingdom today and there was definitely construction going on above the actual building on the roof with a little tarp and tent set up above the PFTH

I am just so very suprised that not much has been said about this project. Perhaps there will be details given later this week. It would be great if they annouced an opening date for this summer.

There was a permit files for Audio/Visual for it today, and there was one last week for signs, so it sounds like it's getting close to completion.
Thanks for this information. I saw the permit you posted a few weeks back and it is good to hear of another one yesterday. Hopefully there will be news in the next two days. Just hoping for my 7 year old daughter that it is done by mid August.

Very interesting that Disney is publicly showing the interior looking so raw. It seems nice, I can't wait to see it progress. It seems really open and airy, which will be a nice switch up for a M&G

According to the new image WDW magic just posted its expected to open in the fall, also judging off the new concept art it seems they got rid of the really nice que area/stain glass pieces :/ Budget cuts I suppose.

I hope they keep the backdrops when you meet each princess, it seems they want to go more fantasy faire route when it comes to the look of PFTH

When we were there a few days ago, I noticed that the old tents were gone from the entrance and the SWSA signage had been removed. Previously it was all covered with scrims, but now the blank facade is clearly visible above the construction wall. Didn't take any pictures, I had my hands full with Ben (yes, he still walks over to look at the construction walls periodically). We'll be there again on Saturday, I'll try to get some pictures then.
