Yes, but it's still not EVERY night. They will still have regular closing evening and EMH evenings.

Maybe every night needs to become EMH, or God forbid, keep MK open later. MGM closes at 7 and AK at 5.. doesn't leave to many options if MK closes at 8.

With this looking like a hard ticket event, I would expect some extras. For instance, different fireworks show, completely new parade with new or redone floats. Also, not everyone wants to go out and buy pirate or princess garb. For the $40 buck fee you should hopefully get your choice of maybe a bandanna, eyepatch or tiarra. The disney company could buy these in bulk and they could maybe put the year somewhere on these items. That way when and if you came back the next year, you would either have something exclusive to that year or start another disney collection when you get home. We have the christmas party photos and buttons from the past. I personally would do this event probably once and then make a judgement if it's worth the cash to do it again. We've done the christmas party 3 times and got something new out of it each time. Hopefully doing the MNSSHP this year for the first time. If it brings extra people that normally would'nt come that time of year and boosts attendance, it will certainly be fine tuned and turn into an annual event.

Good point. Typical family of four. Mom, Dad, Boy, Girl. Now you will have mom and daughter spilt from dad and son, what kind of vacation is that?
One kick a$$ vacation if you ask me! Having to go to the bathroom after every ride kills a lot of time we could be doing other stuff, plus the walking pace kicks up about ten notches without females. Sooooooooo much better. :)

I understand that this won't be EVERY night, but my point was that when they see this is working and raking in the $$$'s, you can bet that more nights will be added as they go along, just like with MNSSHP.

Ummm..excuse me ...I walk fast and I do not take tons of bathroom breaks...:p You would probably find it hard to keep up with me..!:)
Well, I guess there are a few exceptions, but women are generally slower for some strange reason. No offense to anyone!

I think families could stay together or split on this event. It looks great to me. Or just the males or females might want to go while the others do something else (like a dinner show).

On a personal note...

Every year (until recently... now that we're "grown up") there is one day that father and son split from mother and daughter... it's always one of the best, most memorable days of the trip for everyone. Good bonding experiences had. Everything from different parks to non-Disney parks, to Spring Training (MN Twins), to golf, to beach, to shopping.

I highly recommend it to families with "preteens" and teenagers.

- I'm out.

PS. Do they still call them "Preteens?" 10 years ago thats what we called ourselves.

We were not given specific nights, yet. I suspect we won't be told until the day they go on sale. I usually learn stuff like this from the boards before I get my notice e-mails from Disney. I'll update when I know.

I'm going to Disney World in Feb and will book every Pirates Party that fall during the days of our trip if the Party is done like the Christmas Party.

What I mean is, if they limit the amount of tickets sold then the Party is invaluable.

Light Crowds+Kids all in character greeting lines=NO LINES ON THE RIDES!! WOOHOOO!!!

I went to the Christmas Party twice last December and they were the best nights I ever had at the Magic Kingdom. Walk On for most rides in the Park.. it was insane!!! Nobody on Pirates but us.. empty boats in front of us, empy boats behind us. We had our own log on splash mountain.. nobody else around. We rode Thunder a few times in a row because nobody was in line when our train pulled back into the station! Every ride was like this.. except for peter pan as usual.. that had a small line.

If they limit the ticket sales on this party.. i'm definitely going at least 2 nights during my next trip.. so Yeah, I think the whole thing is a great idea! I really wish they ran different versions of these parties all year long actually! :sohappy: :sohappy:

This is a great idea. I was telling my co-worker about this and he called his wife and she was so excited. They want to take there two girls.
