Very exciting. The mix of humor, with the banter between Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton, and the action sequences were really entertaining. Seems like the perfect movie to open Memorial Day weekend. Did anyone notice Sir Ben Kingsley?? he looks so villainous!

The low point of the trailer seems to be (shocker).... Jake Gyllenhaal's inablity to act.

The trailer came across as kind of bland. These modern sword-and-sandal pictures are all starting to look the same to me. You could probably crosscut it with footage from The Scorpion King or 3000 B.C. or any of the other CGI-heavy epics that became popular after Gladiator.

You're right. Totally interchangeable.
And the "Clash of the Titans" trailer features a guy jumping in with a sword and I swear I've seen the exact same shot in "Troy." And "300."

Hey, Jake has some great acting credits to his name. I think an actor with a strong range working on an action film should be a nice change of pace. Plus, it's Bruckheimer so you know you'll get amazing effects and action.
I was really won over when I heard Gyllenhaal talking about the film in this interview.

I think once summer rolls around and we have seen all the films clips, it'll be exciting.
Jake looks like he really went the distance for this role - he looks like a real life super hero or something! The woman is Gemma Arterton, she was the redhead in the last Bond film - Quantum of Solace. I liked her in that role, interested to see her again.

Even though I maintain that Jerry Bruckheimer has no business being allowed near a movie camera, the new trailer is a BIG improvement over the last one.
There's a lot of jumping from balcony to balcony in this one, so it looks more like the video game and less like "Disney Presents The Scorpion King"

I've played all the games before and they are all really really really good games!! I have always wanted a movie based on the game. The movie looks to be a pretty awesome representation of the game. The main feature of the game(time travel with the dagger) was always unique and a new concept. I'm sure its just something that isn't translating well for some people in the trailer. Maybe it's just not believable for some with Jake being the lead. I love it tho.
I am hoping its the new pirates type movie. It certainly looks like it to me.

I think the new trailer is really impressive too. Not sure if you check the film's facebook page, but Bruckheimer answered a bunch of fan questions and actually said that this movie performed better in test screenings than Pirates - very good sign!
