Anybody to provide a summary of where we are on this ahead of the announcement today. Perhaps a poll? I’m leaning non parks related although I’m intrigued as why they have an announcement window but yet plan to have a panel discussion on it a later time.

Nope. 22nd...I made that date stick in my forgetful brain and even set a reminder.
I think I've figured it out. A post on another thread about rides at DAK got me thinking...
They're going to announce Disneyland HAWAI'I!!!
Pros:
Tourist traffic
Year-round climate
DVC already in place
Depressed economic climate providing workers at low wages
Lots of available land (with the added bonus of additional land being added periodically!)
Great spot for a nuclear power plant
Cons:
Tropical weather (like Florida)
Enmity towards outsiders (like LA)
Expense of shipping goods (like Florida)
Occasional volcanic/earthquake activity (like California)

Ok, I was confused about this as well. So the "Secret Walt Disney Company Project" is to be announced today, and will be discussed in the hour-long panel at D23 starting at 1:30 on Saturday.

My guesses:
- Plans for the 100 Year Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company for 2023
- Introduction of Bob Igers Successor
- Announcement of a deal in Anaheim with the City to purchase the Angels Park and make peace
- The Lighthouse Point Rumor in the Bahama's

My original Top 3 choices for today:
1. All encompassing Spider-Man deal that would have made D+ the home for Spider-Man Universe TV projects and kept him in the MCU. (that blew up)
2. Lighthouse Point combined with the new ship name(s) and key features - which now feels too small to take up a whole hour panel.
3. Since Gamescom is also this week an announcement on a more focused approach to video games. But I suspect if that was the case they wouldn't have released so much about the Avengers game on Monday.
So I think I've lost this guessing game.
