Now that I come to think of it, the theory might be true. Maybe, when they rescue Jack, Will sees (or rather thinks that he does) how close Jack and Elizabeth are. He then gets so mad at Jack that he rips out his own heart (like you said) and becomes the captain of the Flying Dutchman. Then, because of the magic that you seem to find in all of the Disney movies, he will forgive Jack and Elizabeth (of course, not until after he makes Jack one of the slaves). I don't know. Now I am just confusing myself.

Oooo, I kinda like that theory! My mind cannot even pick out small things like this and put them together.

One thing that's interesting is that some of the background characters are wearing spanish helmets. I wonder if that has to do with some similarities with the spanish fort soldiers in the ride?

I thought Disney would have more "exclusives" on iTunes since their mar-i-age with Pixar/Steve Jobs/Apple. I guess they did with Cars, but that was a Pixar movie (has ties to Steve Jobs/Apple). I wish we could see more P0TC stuff on iTunes except just the movies...

Anyway, I been noticing a lot of barren sand shots in the trailer (scene where Jack is arguing about why he should help; Barbossa, Elizabeth, Sparrow walking, etc.). It looks a lot like Isla Cruces, the island where Davy Jones buried his heart. Looks like this location will have more significance in the next movie.

It also could be Davy Jone's locker. Remember, that is where they have to save Jack from (hence them going down the waterfall). They might have to go back to Isla Cruces but I think that some of those shots are from Davy Jone's locker.

I agree. I think it is Davy Jones's Locker. They look like they're sailing in the sand, and Davy Jones is supposed to be very "weird" and "haunted."

Plus the scenes in the trailer look like they're in some kind of unnatural, surreal wasteland, not the sandy beaches of Isla Cruces. But Isla Cruces might be important too in this movie. :)

Did anyone notice that it appears that Davy Jones, while standing behind Lord Becket, looks like he's actually standing on the shore.

This could mean either the whole "10 year rule" of Davy Jones not stepping on land is removed, or possibly he's in Davy Jones' Locker, where the rule does not apply. Curious....I can't wait to find out what's going on when the movie comes out. :)

When they mentioned in the 2nd movie that Jones cannot step foot on land for 10 years, I had a feeling he might be able to in the 3rd movie.

edit: just watched the trailer again, he is standing on land. Good catch. :)

awesome trailer! love Jack and Davy Jones swordfight, the kiss (even thought i am all about sparrow and liz) and the whirlpool scene -- good stuff! I can't wait for this film to come out! Sooo do yall think that Will will end up with Liz or was that kiss planted in trailer to throw us off?

ooooo, so am I! They are much more fun and interesting than Will the eunuch lol! ;)
