How do I attach a picture to my post? It always says Enter text to be formatted but I want to attach a picture from my own files.

Okay, spent the past hour and a half trying to figure out how to post pics within posts. I give up. It's 12:43 a.m. and I'm throwing in the towel. If anyone out there can give me step by step directions, I would truly appreciate it.

1. upload the image to your photo album.

2. copy the address for that picture

3. When you are posting, click the "IMG" button

4. When the IMG window pops up, paste the address of your picture into the box.

showphoto.php

edit- ok, so that didn't work!

It all depends on the forum you're in...in this one, IMG code is OFF (bottom-left hand corner). It's my understanding that only Primos can post pics in forums where IMG code is disabled. Anyone wanna refute that? I could be off.

Erika,
Please post a warning before posting such pictures. Kinda scary to see Richard Simmons first thing in the morning.

Oh, wait. I see what you mean. But how do you turn the IMG code button on? Are you saying only paying members get that privelege?

HTML code is ON...for those who don't know how to format a pic in HTML, the code is as follows (sans spaces):

< img src=http://notarealpic.jpg >< /img >

Now as for what to do when IMG and HTML are both turned off...

*shrug*

Yeah, but your pic didn't show. I've had that problem as well. I noticed in the bottom left hand corner it says this:

Forum Rules:You may post new threads
You may post replies
You may not post attachments
You may edit your posts HTML code is ON
vB code is ON
Smilies are ON
code is OFF

I guess it has to do with the [IMG] being turned off. Would like to know if turning it on will solve the problem.

IMG code is on in the majority of forums. You can therefore link to images stored in your photoalbum from http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com

Premium Members can attach images directly into posts without linking to them from another location.

Hope that helps! :)

Thanks Steve. I swear when you respond to a post it's like hearing from the voice of God. I guess the inevitable question is how do you become a premium member?
