I'm driving up for the weekend on Saturday and I've never gone up right after a storm has hit so I'm just wondering if anyone has and if so was it less crowded or was it about the same as usual?

I will be arriving on friday morning, and im guessing alot of people are going to be backing out of their trip due to the weather. looks like by thurday night Ernesto should be out of florida.

If you have been there before can you tell me what the weather is usally like? Is it always cloudy and the sun will pop out here and there and then randomly you will get some rain showers that will last a short time and leave?

There might be people cancelling because of the flooding further up the coast, in NC, VA, etc. I saw footage and photos of some of the damage in Richmond, which is right on I-95.

BUT, it is a 3 day weekend, so it's a tough call. Have fun, regardless. A bad day at WDW is better than a good day most other places.

Ernesto was absolutely NOTHING at WDW, at least compared to some of the other 10-minute trademark Florida storms. I heard not a bit of thunder the whole day. The only time it rained excessively was in the early evening, around 7:00, with little to no wind. Thanks to the media hype, though, I was able to ride Expedition: Everest about 10 times in an hour! :D
